Let’s make a comic book, but let’s make it a little bit different. Instead of one person or a team making the whole book, we’re gonna have every panel made by a different cartoonist. We are gonna do one page per episode. So the number of guests is the number of panels on the page. So now you’re probably wondering, what’s this comic book gonna be about? Well, lemme tell you. It’s gonna be about a robot. This robot whose name is blank. What happens next? Nobody knows, but it’s gonna be fun finding out.
Edmund Kearsley (00:47):
Hello.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (00:49):
Welcome everyone.
Edmund Kearsley (00:52):
The technical difficulties. Sure. <laugh>, this is, let’s make a comic book. I’m your host, ed Keeley, and tonight we’re gonna make a page for a comic book with the star of the comic is the little robot blank. And to help us make it, we have three <inaudible>. We have Jesse Jackman, Jonathan Saunders, and Don Tio. Hello gentlemen.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (01:20):
Hey.
Edmund Kearsley (01:22):
All right. So first things first. We’re gonna check out last week’s page
(01:30)
And to see where you guys are gonna be following up from. And last week we started off with Ben Sullivan, and he’s got the, the mother of blank saying, here’s something to help you on your journey, still in flashback mode. And then we’ve got, uh, Aaron Max. The world above is cold and harsh. We had to make you so if you were to survive your mission, but a cold facade is no shield for a heart as warm and pure as yours. So if you, my son, I gift you companionships. And then when he opens the bag, another little robot pops out with a big gun and says, I have you now, brother <laugh>. So that’s where you guys will be following on from and to figure out which uh, page layout we’re gonna be using. Yep. You’re gonna spin the wheel of layouts. So here we go. It’s spinning.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (02:36):
Oops. And it looks like it’s the three boxes on each other all the same. So
Edmund Kearsley (02:43):
We’ve got the three stacker. So that will be the layout. Everyone’s got their, uh, their layout, uh, pages that we sent to you. Mm-Hmm. <affirmative>. And now
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (03:04):
The hand of choosing what you put Job.
Edmund Kearsley (03:07):
Yep. The hand of choosing. I’ll start with, uh, Jonathan, you get to pick a number.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (03:15):
I’ll choose, uh, number three.
Edmund Kearsley (03:18):
Number three,
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (03:21):
You’re in the middle. Number two, middle <laugh>.
Edmund Kearsley (03:24):
So is that two for Jonathan? And I’ll get, uh, Don to pick what?
Don Ticchio (03:33):
Um, I’ll pick number two.
Edmund Kearsley (03:38):
Number two is number three. Three.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (03:42):
Oh, Jesse,
Edmund Kearsley (03:44):
Jesse gets to start.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (03:47):
You get to start the page, my friend.
Jesse Dracman (03:49):
We go wrong.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (03:51):
Yeah.
Edmund Kearsley (03:56):
All right.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (03:57):
Stuff.
Jesse Dracman (03:58):
Are you sure you’re ready for this? <laugh>
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (04:01):
<laugh>. Oh, well, we’ll show you other pages where non-art have, um, popped in and done them if you want. Yeah,
Jesse Dracman (04:07):
Yeah, yeah. No, no. There’s,
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (04:10):
Let’s see if I can remember, because I’m hardly seen this scale,
Edmund Kearsley (04:14):
Remember? Yeah.
Jesse Dracman (04:14):
No, it’s
Edmund Kearsley (04:15):
All Page seven
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (04:17):
Page. Is that what I was on? Oh, yeah. Yep. They’re all non-artists.
Edmund Kearsley (04:24):
And last week’s panel.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (04:26):
And last week’s panel we had, um, the, the bottom left was by Aaron Mack, who’s a writer.
Jesse Dracman (04:35):
Yeah. Yeah. That’s amazing.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (04:37):
Yeah. He was surprised. <laugh>.
Jesse Dracman (04:40):
Yeah. Oh, well, if he was surprised.
Edmund Kearsley (04:43):
I’m gonna be
Jesse Dracman (04:43):
Shocked.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (04:44):
<laugh>,
Edmund Kearsley (04:46):
If you wanna get started. ’cause you have to get, um, some stuff down, sir, that, uh, Jonathan has something to look at to go on with
Jesse Dracman (04:55):
<laugh>. Absolutely.
Don Ticchio (04:58):
God, I’m gonna be shaking in my boots.
Jesse Dracman (05:01):
<laugh>. Yeah, man.
Edmund Kearsley (05:03):
But usually that, that ones the, the best one.
Don Ticchio (05:06):
You know, that old people don’t like, old people don’t like to wait.
Edmund Kearsley (05:10):
<laugh>, <laugh>.
Don Ticchio (05:15):
No, it’s all good.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (05:16):
Have you got the measurements there, Jesse, to measure up or have you printed them out?
Jesse Dracman (05:21):
Uh, not really, man. Like I said, I’m, I’m a, I’m just, you know, just doing the old pen and paper thing, man. So we’re just gonna, fingers
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (05:30):
Crossed. And that file I sent you will have a, the, the height and the width of the box you gotta draw in.
Jesse Dracman (05:35):
Okay.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (05:36):
Have you got a ruler?
Don Ticchio (05:40):
Not on me, <laugh>.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (05:41):
Oh no.
Jesse Dracman (05:42):
Yeah,
Edmund Kearsley (05:44):
I just, that’s
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (05:45):
Right. My bad.
Edmund Kearsley (05:46):
Just triangle. I mean a rectangle and it, yeah, just
Jesse Dracman (05:49):
A rectangle. I’ve got a rectangle, man. So we, we got this. Yeah. All good. All good. We got
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (05:54):
This. We’ll make it fit.
Jesse Dracman (05:56):
Yeah, it’s gonna be great. Thanks for having me on that, man. I really appreciate it.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (06:02):
Oh, absolute pleasure. I’m glad we got you my, my skillset.
Jesse Dracman (06:06):
This
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (06:06):
Is the second last page, just so you know. Yeah. Oh wow. Oh, wow.
Jesse Dracman (06:10):
My skillset is, um, stick figures to just so you <laugh> to give you a bit of a warning. But, um, we’ll do, we’ll do something fun for the, uh, for, for, for the shits and giggles. But, um, no, man, this is fun.
Don Ticchio (06:30):
This is, this is anything, this is a great time. Anything goes really. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Edmund Kearsley (06:34):
Kind of the spirit of the show.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (06:37):
It is, it’s all
Edmund Kearsley (06:38):
About fun.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (06:41):
Okay. Yeah, I’ll do the comments quickly. We’ve got one from Ricko saying, holy moly. Um, only two pages left. Let’s make them the best ones so we can get Ed starting blank. Number two, dunno if that how it works, Rick, but thank you very much. Richo. Sorry. It, it’s, um, Travis, um, Peter Lane. Hey, it’s Jesse Jackman.
Jesse Dracman (07:08):
Hey, Peter.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (07:09):
What’s good brother? <laugh>.
Jesse Dracman (07:11):
What is cracking my man?
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (07:14):
<laugh> and my neighbours are also screaming as we speak, so they must be excited about you being on as well, Jesse.
Jesse Dracman (07:21):
Oh, that’s cool, man. Those poor people. <laugh>. Um, no, this is surreal, man. Like, uh, I honestly don’t draw very often, so it’s, um, this is a, it’s a bit of a crazy treat for me.
Don Ticchio (07:36):
You and me both. Jesse. Yeah, <laugh>. <laugh>. Literally, I, I don’t draw very often at all. <laugh>.
Edmund Kearsley (07:46):
All right. So well let, uh, Jesse gets a drawing done, and we’ll have a chat
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (07:50):
With you. Yeah. We’ll leave you alone, Jesse.
Jesse Dracman (07:52):
No, you’re good.
Edmund Kearsley (07:52):
You’re good, Jonathan. So
Jesse Dracman (07:54):
Chat away, my friends <laugh>.
Edmund Kearsley (07:57):
All righty. So Don, tell us about how you got into comic books and making comic.
Don Ticchio (08:03):
Oh, um, geez, this goes back to the days back in the eighties. I, I met up with the Cyclone guys. Oh, Gary, Dave Dere, Glen Lumps and what have you. It was a hive of activity then. It was, for me, it was a great time.
Don Ticchio (08:23):
’cause I, um, I’ve been wanting to meet comics for later people, but I, I didn’t know anyone. And then, then, uh, I found out about this <inaudible> Club thing where they were meeting every, I forget what day it was now, but they, they met once a month and, uh,
Don Ticchio (08:44):
All like-minded.
Don Ticchio (08:45):
And it was
Don Ticchio (08:45):
Great.
Don Ticchio (08:46):
Um, from there, I, I gotta do some work for Gary and, and Dave through their, they had a thing
Don Ticchio (08:56):
Called Night
Don Ticchio (08:58):
Night Fighter, actually. Night Fighter. Oh yeah. Or a magazine called Aussie Kids. I ended up doing it and that just turned me on to do other stuff. And, um, so when they got busy with other projects in the us, <inaudible> and
Don Ticchio (09:23):
Iland sort of didn’t do much. I actually, uh, decided I wanted to put a comic house. I put out Southern Aurora presents.
Don Ticchio (09:33):
Oh, nice. And, uh,
Don Ticchio (09:34):
I think got up to six issues and had a few, quite a few people in there contributing stuff. And, uh, some of them you might know, Shane Foley’s been doing the Phantom regularly now. Uh, Glen, I mean, well, Glen does wonderful stuff. And Gary, Gary just blows my mind with his stuff. <laugh>. So, and, uh, at that time, issue one comics, uh, was coming up. And when I followed up, I joined the Issue one team and the help with them until this year, one was no more. And then I concentrated on my business. Really. Um, and it was, um, Rab. ’cause uh, I’ve known Rab
Don Ticchio (10:19):
Since Love
Don Ticchio (10:19):
Rab. Yeah. I’ve known him since 95. And, uh, and he had his own comic then called Scunge.
Don Ticchio (10:26):
Yeah, I remember that
Don Ticchio (10:27):
One. And, um, they wanted help with some stuff, and I said, yeah, I’ll help you. And that friendship just continued. And, uh, when I, when I sort of stepped away from comics, ’cause I, I had a family, I concentrated on the business and what have you, I was always working with Rab through the company he was working with, you know, doing work for those companies. And he is, he always had in mind that he wanted to do more comics. More comics. And he basically pulled me back in, um, <laugh>. So, you know, then in 2010 and said he wanted to start up a comic. Silver Fox Comics. Yeah. I’ll be in it. And, uh, the rest is history. You know, it’s, um, I, I think we’ve done some great stuff in Silver with Silver Fox, and, um, and Baer is a surprise. Um,
Don Ticchio (11:23):
That’s a rules.
Don Ticchio (11:24):
Yeah. From, uh, from the short story in Zombie Cities to, um, we are now doing 1, 2, 3, 3, 4, 5. This is six. The sixth issue. The sixth. Oh, really? Novel. Yeah. We, we’ve already started on, um, on, um, the next one, which is gonna be called, um, auntie Wendy, the Werewolf and the Killer <laugh>.
Don Ticchio (11:50):
Yeah.
Jonathon Saunders (11:53):
Love it.
Don Ticchio (11:54):
So Sara’s working out the, the plans and what have you. So it’s still early stages, but, um, you know, if we can get it, uh, for one of the conventions, it won’t be this early. It takes us a year to get it done. But, uh, yeah. So, and, and to be honest, the, I I, I’ve been loving it. I mean, I, I’m, I’m doing it from a point of view now where I’m enjoying it more, whereas
Jesse Dracman (12:24):
That’s what it should be always about.
Don Ticchio (12:26):
It should be about back then, you know, just too many, too many freaking hurdles. And, um, and now with this community online and everybody in contact with each other and what have you, it’s great. It it really is great. It’s, um, yeah,
Jesse Dracman (12:41):
It’s really, I really, I’m, I’m a huge fan of it, by the way. I’m, I’ve got something that I’m really scared to show you guys. So <laugh>,
Jonathon Saunders (12:49):
I
Jesse Dracman (12:49):
Really, really terrified
Jonathon Saunders (12:51):
<laugh>. Alright.
Don Ticchio (13:14):
Uh, okay.
Jonathon Saunders (13:16):
Nice.
Jesse Dracman (13:18):
Um, well, ’cause he is, he’s talking to I, I’m assuming someone that he is his brother, so he is like, and by the way, brother, I love Metal. So it’s, it’s kind of a metaphorical reference of sorts, you know, <laugh>.
Don Ticchio (13:32):
Yeah. Okay.
Jonathon Saunders (13:34):
All righty. Say that. Good luck, Jonathan. Luck.
Don Ticchio (13:42):
I dunno, luck.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (13:43):
The Curves the first one instead of the third one. <laugh>,
Don Ticchio (13:48):
Uh, Shane, if anybody wants to log on to, to have a look at this, where do, where do they go to?
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (13:53):
Oh yeah, sure. I’ll grab that link. Just gimme a sec.
Don Ticchio (13:57):
Yeah.
Jonathon Saunders (13:58):
Hmm.
Jonathon Saunders (14:00):
Just now I’ve gotta think of, uh, how to follow that up. Can,
Don Ticchio (14:03):
Can you messenger it to me and I’ll send it off to someone? Yeah,
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (14:07):
Yeah, sure.
Jonathon Saunders (14:12):
<laugh>,
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (14:14):
Sorry, I usually message this earlier, but, um, I’m a bit outta sorts today. Mm-Hmm. <affirmative>, I feel like a bus has hit me. Or a train one or the other.
Jonathon Saunders (14:27):
<laugh>,
Jesse Dracman (14:29):
I gotta say for a guy that does, does stick figures, I’m pretty happy with that. So that’s,
Don Ticchio (14:34):
Um, that’s
Jonathon Saunders (14:34):
A small, yeah, no, that’s a
Jesse Dracman (14:36):
0.25% level up for me. <laugh>.
Jonathon Saunders (14:39):
<laugh>. Yes.
Jonathon Saunders (14:43):
No, that’s, that’s great. Yeah. No, it’s good to have that. Um, something to start off. It’s always scary having that blank page. Mm-Hmm. <affirmative>. So you’ve done the hardest part. <laugh>
Jesse Dracman (14:53):
Kind of, it kind of takes you back to like, Hey, hey, Saturday, like Red Simmons, um, uh, or, uh, that, you know, those TV shows where they just do like a bunch of wobbly lines and you just have to make something from it.
Jonathon Saunders (15:07):
Yeah, yeah. That’s right. That was crazy that,
Jesse Dracman (15:09):
Um, yeah, yeah,
Jonathon Saunders (15:10):
Yeah. How we could just do that in like, it’s less than 10 seconds <laugh>.
Jesse Dracman (15:14):
Ah, that’s talent man. That’s talent <laugh>.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (15:17):
And I accidentally just sent you a message, Jesse, sorry about that. Oh, that’s okay. That’s okay. Don, I sent it to you eventually. <laugh> <laugh>.
Jesse Dracman (15:29):
He’ll still get the quicker than Australia Post, man. <laugh>.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (15:32):
<laugh>.
Jonathon Saunders (15:34):
Yeah. No, that’s
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (15:34):
Right. Okay. We’ve got ourselves some comments before we continue. So, um, all, all the way up there. So we’ve got Dave Dyer, he’s go, go at it, everybody. Ben Sullivan’s, good luck all. And, uh, mud Wells is a ho Hoy gang. Um, I guess Andrew Law is doing the, the, where is it there? He’s doing a whole bunch of those <laugh>. And then we’ve got a Hello, hello, hello from Rusty, uh, Omni. Hello. Rusty has what awesome people do. We have here, have here, I guess he means tonight. Yep. Um, evening guys from Cold Creature and Mr. Squiggle from Rusty <laugh>. And then we’ve got a great start by Nick May. He loves it. Excellent. <laugh>.
Jesse Dracman (16:25):
Oh
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (16:26):
Dude,
Jesse Dracman (16:26):
Classic. But, um, no, I, I, I gotta say, man, um, just in regards to all the Australian creators, I mean, look, I haven’t been doing this as long as most of the other guys, um, you know, like RABs and, and a lot of these amazing guys, um, like Dean Ranking and all those guys, man. Mm-Hmm. <affirmative>. But it’s one thing I’m learning real quick is just the community spirit amongst all the creators, the writers and artists. It’s really cool. Everyone’s really respectful for, to each other and supportive. And, um, I think that’s really cool. And I hope we see more of that, especially around convention, around all the conventions too, you know, like make some noise. Yeah. It’s, yeah. I love it. ’cause, um, yeah, no, it, it’s, it’s cool. I, I don’t know how you guys, you know, how you guys at the conventions, you know, dealing with all the people and just all the, the mayhem and
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (17:23):
Chaos <laugh> find out in Melbourne.
Don Ticchio (17:32):
I love, I love talking to the guys that you see there, you know? Mm. They do stuff that I like and some I’ve known for years and, uh, yeah. And the new ones, you know, it’s great. Um,
Jesse Dracman (17:46):
Yeah,
Don Ticchio (17:47):
I, you know, I, I met, uh, Chris Pitkin was tabling next to us at one show, and he is phenomenal. Oh, he really is, um, great artist. I gotta go back to school. You know,
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (18:07):
I think this one’s for you, Don. Oh, sorry.
Don Ticchio (18:10):
Sorry
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (18:11):
Don. I was just saying this comment’s for you. It’s, um, evening gents. Uh, good to see my Italian dad on the show. Oh,
Don Ticchio (18:19):
It’s apparently
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (18:20):
Your comment talking to
Don Ticchio (18:25):
Yeah, it’s plausible.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (18:34):
What I might do. Well, Johnath Jonathan is drawing is, I might bring up,
Don Ticchio (18:40):
I feel too much pressure already.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (18:44):
Don’t worry, Don. You are good. <laugh>.
Don Ticchio (18:46):
No pressure man. No pressure. You got this.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (18:51):
And well, Jonathan’s drawing that is the short link to his Kickstarter for
Jonathon Saunders (18:57):
That’s right. So that’s the, uh, recently
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (18:59):
<crosstalk> jumble of letters there. Lots of fun.
Jonathon Saunders (19:01):
That’s right. <laugh>. Yes. It’s a Kickstarter for the Zero Point, uh, graphic novel collection, which is a collection of all the zero point, uh, origin comics I’ve, uh, done, uh, through Wild North Comics. So it’s the, um, uh, yeah, so it tells the story of Carl Burton a uh, former Australian commando who during a mission gone wrong. And he’s Timor Awakens his zero point energy manipulation powers. And from there he goes on a journey, uh, to, you know, his own hero’s journey to become the superhero zero points and follow in his estranged father’s footsteps. And, uh, you know, kind of, you know, uncover, uh, we’ll discover the wider world of the Australian, you know, Australian superheroes and post humans on the way. So it’s a bit of, um, you know, I guess you could say it’s a bit of a mix of, uh, you know, metal gear and a bit of dragon ball in there.
(19:52)
So it’s, um, oh, I said it’s a love letter to, you know, everything I like. And you know, that’s Manga anime, video games and movies all crammed together. And, um, and once you’ve, uh, you know, if you want more zero points, uh, we, the Zero Point Origins actually tells the origin of, as I said, Carl, and because, uh, a few years ago, me and Timothy Par, the co of a co-creator of Wild North Comics, we created a animated web series called Zero Point Season Zero. Oh, cool. So, so, yeah. So check that out. That’s pretty cool. Yeah. So this, so the Comic X as a bit of a, obviously an origin story of how Kyle got his superpowers and joined the Australian government superhero team. So, you know, it’s almost like a continuing on of what was, you know, established back, you know, in cycling comics with, you know, the Southern squadron and all that. But, um, yeah, so we also, we got for the Zero Point Season Animated series, uh, you know, Mark Cole Smith does the Voice of Zero Point and the, uh, villain, the vi uh, yeah, the villain. S Samson is voiced by the, uh, you know, uh, very talented, um, uh, oh God, I can’t believe I’ve got his name now. Um,
(21:05)
Yeah, you know, the, the guy from, um, you know,
Jesse Dracman (21:07):
John Bon
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (21:09):
<laugh>,
Jesse Dracman (21:11):
It’s taking a wild crack. No,
Jonathon Saunders (21:13):
No, no, no. Steven Oliver. He was great at sson. So Nice. Again, if you want a, you know, an action animated series, you know, in that same style as Invincible, check out Zero Point Season Zero.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (21:25):
Nice. That’s a hell of an elevator pitch.
Jonathon Saunders (21:27):
Yeah, that’s a, yeah, it’s a bit of a big elevator pitch, <laugh>. So I’ll get back to, to making comics <laugh>.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (21:36):
Ah, good stuff. I’ll leave that comment up for a while just so people can get it, write it down or go to it and so forth. Well, don’t go to it, but you’re still on the show. Write it down. That’s it. There you go.
Jonathon Saunders (21:46):
And if you go on my, um, on my, uh, Instagram as well, you can find the link to that as well.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (21:52):
Yeah,
Jonathon Saunders (21:53):
Yeah. So I’m still drawing this, um, yeah, taking that, uh, you know, he gets introduced to his, uh, brother, but, you know, it’s a, it’s a great trope and fiction where the brother’s evil, you know, and obviously when I mentioned Dragon War, the most famous example is Reddits, of course. Uh, but then you got Liquid Snake from, uh, metal gear solid and, uh, whatever Evil Brothers are there. I mean, you could technically say our man from the ba from DC Universe, you know? ’cause there’s meant to be an ultimate universe, uh, version of like Thomas Wayne Jr. So again, that whole evil, uh, older brother is kind of a,
Jesse Dracman (22:38):
I love those alternate universe stories, man. They’re great.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (22:42):
That’s, yeah.
Jesse Dracman (22:43):
Yeah. Thomas Wayne always,
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (22:45):
I was addicted to them when I was younger.
Jesse Dracman (22:47):
Yeah, they’re great. Even the Marvel Universe with the cancer verse and that with Captain Marble. I loved all that stuff, man. It’s, oh
Jonathon Saunders (22:54):
Yeah. It’s great. And yeah, the Marvel Zombie stuff. Yes.
Jesse Dracman (22:57):
Yeah. Yeah. It’s really cool. Yeah. It’s just bold and daring storytelling. I love
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (23:03):
It. Yeah.
Edmund Kearsley (23:06):
Do you wanna bring up, uh, Jonathan’s screen so we can Oh,
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (23:09):
Yes. Oh, yeah. See what he is doing? I forgot that we can do that along <laugh>. Oh, that’s nice.
Jesse Dracman (23:21):
Yes.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (23:22):
<laugh>,
Jesse Dracman (23:25):
Now we’re talking
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (23:26):
<laugh>. Okay. Brought it back. We’re back to the violence. I love it. <laugh>.
Jesse Dracman (23:35):
I was actually gonna draw, try and attempt to draw Rocket launches on, on the shoulders of the robot. Oh, yeah. Oh God. <laugh> <laugh>. This could go
Don Ticchio (23:44):
Bad. So
Jesse Dracman (23:47):
This is, this is really cool.
Don Ticchio (23:49):
Yeah.
Jesse Dracman (23:51):
I love it.
Edmund Kearsley (23:53):
There you go, Don. You can start on your one now.
Don Ticchio (23:56):
Yeah. Ah, geez. I didn’t
Jonathon Saunders (23:58):
Realise, um, Jonathan was so far along.
Don Ticchio (24:01):
Now I’m gonna have to put my glasses on. This is <laugh>.
Jonathon Saunders (24:05):
I was gonna say, is, is the text started later? <laugh>?
Don Ticchio (24:10):
Uh, but I hate you brother <laugh>.
Edmund Kearsley (24:15):
You can do the lettering or I can do it for you afterwards if you wanna leave.
Jonathon Saunders (24:20):
Yeah, maybe, maybe. Yeah. I’ll send you the, um, the ink thing and you can add the, uh, the text for that
Edmund Kearsley (24:29):
Sweet as, oh, have we lost Jesse?
Jesse Dracman (24:32):
No, no. Jesse’s here.
Don Ticchio (24:33):
Here he is. Hi.
Jonathon Saunders (24:35):
Oh, there you are. You went fun. Yeah.
Jesse Dracman (24:37):
Yeah.
Don Ticchio (24:39):
Jesse blank.
Edmund Kearsley (24:41):
<laugh>, tell us, uh, your origin story, how you got into comics and making comics.
Jesse Dracman (24:48):
Yeah, man. Um, I mean, my, my story’s pretty pandemic related, so I’ve always loved comics. I grew up with comics, you know, like any, well, well-rounded, um, kid does. But, um, you know, I, I, before that I had a very, um, extensive rock and roll journey, um, touring and making music, uh, as a musician with my band. And, um, when pandemic hit, um, the, I just needed something to keep those creative juices flowing. ’cause I, music wasn’t available as an outlet for me. So, um, I started writing and, um, I started off with novellas and, um, which eventuated into comic books. And, um, I haven’t looked back. I’m, I’m having a really good time with it. And, um, yeah, it learning heaps, man. Like, yeah, it’s, it’s so much fun. I, I didn’t realise how much fun I’d have creating comics, but, um, minus the stress <laugh>, but, um, that’s awesome. Yeah. No, it’s good. Yeah, it’s good fun, man. Like, I’ve, you know, I started with my freaking Instein comic, um, you know, very rock and roll horror, and then I’ve just gone on from there. And I’m currently working on a new issue, uh, number five of Frankenstein, and I’m working on my third manga comic as we speak, so, yeah. Oh, cool. It’s, um, it’s, it’s a lot of fun, man. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I’ll tell you all about it if you want
Don Ticchio (26:15):
<laugh>, you’re definitely, that’s
Jesse Dracman (26:15):
Right,
Don Ticchio (26:17):
<laugh>.
Jesse Dracman (26:19):
Yeah. So, um, like, I, I don’t know, my, my manga books, I’m, I’m up to number three now, but I haven’t released number two yet. Um, but my first one was Damien, which is basically, um, my love letter to one of my favourite movies, the Omen. So, um, I just gave it a bit of a comedy twist and, uh, had some fun with that. And, uh, my next one coming out is called Vampire Uppercut, um, which is all about That’s a good name. Thank you. Um, it’s about a vampire that competes in the underground, um, illegal underground monster boxing arena in Mexico. It’s, um, it gets pretty deep, so, but, um, <laugh>, yeah. Uh,
(27:03)
Yeah, things that, that sit up here in the brain is just weird. But, um, I’m, I’m really pumped about the, the new one that I’m working on now. I haven’t really told anyone about it, so, um, because Shane’s just been such a, a good friend and supporter, I’ll, you know, I’ll let the information out here. First and foremost, um, I’m working on a series, my new series is called Devils and, um, it’s basically, um, my love letter to the Australian Wildlife, but, um, mixed with the Teenage Min Nin Turtle, um, love that I have, um, with a group of Tasmanian devils that, um, you know, are half human, half Tasmanian devils. And, um, they’re going to, uh, try and do their part to save the forests of Tasmania from the evil corporations, uh, military corporations trying to, uh, take over.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (27:59):
Nice. So
Jesse Dracman (28:00):
That sounds, yeah, listen. Yeah, it’s a bit of fun, man. Yeah. It’s, it’s, it’s, uh, it’s in its early phases, but man, I’m having a good time with it. So, and, and I, I’ve just always wanted to do something exclusively Australian as well, so like, and I love, I love my Aussie animals, so, um, I’m having a good time with this one so far.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (28:22):
Yeah. Awesome. Sweet.
Jesse Dracman (28:24):
Mm-Hmm? <affirmative>.
Edmund Kearsley (28:24):
Yeah.
Jesse Dracman (28:28):
That canon looks sick.
Edmund Kearsley (28:31):
<laugh> does,
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (28:34):
Uh, we’ve got a comment just come in. Paul Blank. Has a very complicated family relationship. A jealous robot, bro. Topped with a very isolated fish, human civilization. Yeah, he does a bit. It’s
Edmund Kearsley (28:47):
True. Mm.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (28:48):
He, and he is got quite the, um, relationship with his friends as well. They all seem to turn on him as well, it seems.
Edmund Kearsley (28:55):
Hmm.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (28:56):
Poor old blank
Edmund Kearsley (28:58):
<laugh>.
Jesse Dracman (28:59):
Yeah.
Edmund Kearsley (29:03):
Uh, it’s one of my favourite things about this comic book of how it’s worked out is whenever there’s a character introduced, they appear and then attack
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (29:15):
<laugh>. Yeah.
Edmund Kearsley (29:17):
<laugh>.
Jesse Dracman (29:19):
Everyone has a pension for violence.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (29:21):
<laugh> seems that way. We’ve, we’ve only got one, one panel of love in the whole thing. Mm.
Jesse Dracman (29:29):
Yeah. Well, one’s not bad.
Edmund Kearsley (29:33):
<laugh> <laugh>.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (29:36):
Well, we also have a few nonviolent ones like yours. Yeah. Jess. Yeah.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (29:42):
Yeah. <laugh> something different.
Edmund Kearsley (29:46):
The last week’s page was, yeah, last week’s was pretty nonviolent. It was kind of sweet and wholesome. Yeah. That’s cool. Damn. What’s introduced A big gun <laugh>. Uh, hilarious. So, uh, we’ll get, uh, Jonathan, tell us about how you got into comics Oh, yeah. Into making comics.
Jonathon Saunders (30:13):
Yeah. So, uh, yeah, I guess, um, probably like a lot of, uh, kids in Australia, you know, grew up, you know, reading, you know, the Phantom and, um, you know, mad Magazine, footwear plats because they were like the most cheap and easy comics and comic strips to get ahold of. Uh, it wasn’t until like, um, you know, I was in my teens when I had access to a car that I was able to, you know, drive down to the local comic shop comics t and get, um, you know, buy my own comics. Uh, and yeah, as, and, and ev even probably before then, like, you know, they had like the Dark Night returns, um, Frank Miller’s Ronan there as well, and Watchmen at the library. So that’s where I kind of got introduced to superhero comics. And, uh, as I said, then when I got a car, I started, you know, getting into, yeah, getting really into like, you know, green Lanin and things like that.
(31:10)
And, uh, you know, this is like the early two thousands. So like, you know, you had kind of that bit of the second, uh, golden age for anime coming out as well. Like, you know, I was actually probably in the late nineties, I, you know, was watching, you know, neon Genesis, Gelian Dragon Ball, you know, various anime on SBS and all the other like, um, early all-star channels that doesn’t exist anymore. And yeah, and I just, and as a kid I’ve always loved drawing. And, um, yeah, then once I finished high school, I decided to a bachelor in Visual Arts. Um, at then, at that point I kind of figured, ah, I don’t know if I can do comics. You have to either go down to Sydney or Melbourne or, you know, go to America to do them. So focused on fine art for a bit.
(32:01)
But at that point, um, you know, like I, I, um, flip studio paint back then it was called Manga Studio. It was like, you know, recently new. And I was like, oh, okay, maybe this is a way for me to, you know, make comics and put them on the web. And the first comic I did was, uh, I was part of the Bar Keira Projects. Uh, you, you might have heard of it, where, um, it’s like a mashup of The Simpsons and Akira. Uh, it was run by, uh, James Harvey, the UK comic book artist that’s also done work with, um, Jamie Hewitt for the Gorillas and all that. Uh, and yeah, he came up with the idea, like he was inspired by N artist, uh, Ryan Humphreys that did that, like original bar Kira stuff. And he was putting a call out and I said, oh, that sounds fun. So I contacted him. He, you know, gave me pages to do, and that was my first comic. And after that I was like, wow, that was really fun. And then I started to make the, uh, astounding tales of hero fiction web comic, which is where I took the characters of, you know, zero Point and ran that I created in university and put ’em in a comic. And, uh, yeah, I guess that’s my, uh, secret origins for, um, comics. <laugh> <laugh>.
Jesse Dracman (33:25):
That’s cool. Excellent.
Jonathon Saunders (33:26):
Yeah. Isn’t that
Edmund Kearsley (33:31):
Magical the first time you go to a, uh, the first comic shop?
Jonathon Saunders (33:36):
Oh, yeah.
Edmund Kearsley (33:37):
Just seeing comics at like, the news agents and stuff, and then
Jesse Dracman (33:42):
There’s no, there’s no greater euphoria than, um, going into a comic shop or a news agent and just gravitating towards those shelves. And, you know, just, just seeing the, the, the array of colours and, and visuals, it’s, I don’t know, man, just, it never gets old, ever. I love it. I feel like a kid in a candy store.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (34:07):
Oh yeah, I understand that. Totally. I have to stay away from, I spend too much
Jesse Dracman (34:11):
<laugh>,
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (34:16):
I like, have money for rent, for food, and then I’ll walk into one of those. I ain’t got money for rent and food. No more <laugh>.
Jesse Dracman (34:22):
Yeah,
Jonathon Saunders (34:23):
That’s it.
Jesse Dracman (34:25):
You’re like, uh, packet noodles. It is this week. Kids? Yeah.
Jonathon Saunders (34:30):
Yes.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (34:36):
Oh dear. And oh, um, Jono is what you’ve been called, um, love the Extreme Perspective, Jono by Dave Dye there.
Jonathon Saunders (34:44):
Oh, thank you. Yeah. Yeah. It’s, uh, yeah, I feel always try and make, um, you know, when I’m drawing, I wanna, I, I guess, you know, I love that. That’s one of the great things about comics is that you get those like extreme perspective shifts and, you know, things you would be very difficult to do, you know, and filmmaking, unless you had like a, you know, expensive camera set up and, you know, just, just something, you know, again, for me it’s like doing this is like fun to draw
Jonathon Saunders (35:12):
<laugh> awesome.
Jesse Dracman (35:17):
That’s so cool.
Jonathon Saunders (35:20):
<laugh> <laugh>.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (35:27):
I’m still loving that.
Jesse Dracman (35:29):
I love it. It’s uh, it’s almost very dirty. Harry
Jonathon Saunders (35:34):
<laugh>. Yeah.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (35:44):
Now I’m just like wondering what Don’s doing. Uh,
Don Ticchio (35:50):
Dunno.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (35:51):
Is he bringing in the love?
Don Ticchio (35:53):
Is he, it’s gonna be rough so I can finish it afterwards. <laugh> <laugh>.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (36:06):
Oh, cool.
Edmund Kearsley (36:07):
So sis, we’ve got a, a blank Kickstarter.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (36:12):
Oh yes, I’ll bring that up. There she is. I’ll bring up the link. I’m so quick at this. You think I’ve done it before? <laugh>? There we go. Blank do com x.studio. That’ll get you to the blank Pre-launch page. Um, I’m currently making a pre-launch. A pre pre-launch page. Dunno why I, I’m funny like that. Um, but for now, you wanna go to the pre-launch page. How many times get launching in five minutes?
Edmund Kearsley (36:47):
Lots.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (36:48):
Um, yeah, go there, hit that notify button. Um, I will un notify myself so you can see what it looks like. There you go. Notify me on launch. That’s what you wanna hit. So you get an email. The reason you wanna hit that is because you will get an email when it launches and blank is doing something a bit different than any of our other Kickstarters. If you pledge in the first 12 hours, you’ll get, uh, a pack from a PDF pack from, uh, RIE of a whole bunch of their number ones. So Vex one, rev one, uh, Rick McClung won. Um, come on, Shane. Um,
Don Ticchio (37:29):
Correct. McClean’s a bloody good comic.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (37:32):
Yeah, it is. It is. And I can’t remember, oh God, I can’t remember the other ones. I, I dunno if torn one’s in there. So I won’t say it, but I have said it now. So that’s really awkward. Um, I can’t remember. It’s on a list. It’s not in front of me. Um, if you get in the 24 hours, you miss out on that one if you get after 12 hours, but within the 24. But you’ll get, um, issue one of Wordsmith, uh, PDF, um, if you’re in the first 12 hours, you’re also in the first 24 hours, so you get that as well. So those first 12 hours that are getting some special stuff going on. ’cause then we’ve got the 48 hour people. If you’re a bit slow and you get in the first 48 hours instead of the first 24, um, you get a free citrus PDF with a special story, um, that you, that wasn’t put into one, into issue one, but it’s an eight page story of Cirus, um, little special bonus, uh, as A-A-P-D-F as well. And then after that, um, the $2 special on the book goes away after about a week, I think it is. Uh, and it becomes a $3, um, PDF, so it’s only $2 for the first week. So if you’re really slow and you don’t make it into the 48 hours, well then you’ve also got that week to get it a bit cheaper.
Edmund Kearsley (38:56):
Excellent.
Jesse Dracman (38:57):
Cool.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (38:59):
And then of course there’s all our stretch goals and so forth, but I don’t remember any of them at the moment, so I don’t go into it.
Edmund Kearsley (39:07):
Nice.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (39:08):
I’m good at this, aren’t I? I should like be a marketer or something.
Jesse Dracman (39:12):
<laugh>,
Edmund Kearsley (39:13):
Definitely something to put at.
Jonathon Saunders (39:19):
Uh,
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (39:21):
I’ll leave that link up for a bit and we’ll go back and stalk Jonathan again.
Edmund Kearsley (39:26):
Guns looking call.
Jonathon Saunders (39:29):
Mm-Hmm. <affirmative>, thank you.
Jesse Dracman (39:34):
Question for all you guys too, man. Just in terms of comic books in Australia, um, how do you, how do you find the relationships with comic shops in, in regards to supporting, um, Australian titles? Like how, how’s your, how’s your journey been trying to, you know, get more support in comic shops? Because I, I know some comic shops are a bit sort of cautionary ’cause they, they, you know, some are saying there’s, you know, they’re investing more in graphic novels than that. And I don’t know, I’m just, I’m, I’m just all kinds of curious.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (40:12):
Okay.
Edmund Kearsley (40:14):
In Melbourne, there’s a mini tour and All Star
Jesse Dracman (40:19):
Yeah.
Edmund Kearsley (40:20):
Are really good for supporting local stuff. I think Mini Mini had their own comic, like in the eighties, like the guys that started it.
Jesse Dracman (40:28):
Oh wow,
Edmund Kearsley (40:28):
Cool. Started by like making comics. So they’ve got a pretty good, uh, policy for taking local stuff and all stars in, uh, on Queen Street as a, a big section down the back of, of Australian stuff.
Jesse Dracman (40:46):
Oh, that’s really cool. Because I know King’s comics in Sydney, um, are pretty supportive as well.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (40:53):
Yep.
Jesse Dracman (40:54):
Mm. So,
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (40:55):
And, um, I know that two stores in Canberra, uh, I think they’re the only stores in Canberra, uh, DE’s and Impact, yeah. Two supporters of, um, indie
Edmund Kearsley (41:05):
<inaudible> is good.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (41:06):
Um, I dunno too much about the other states. Um,
Jonathon Saunders (41:11):
Yeah, there’s only, um,
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (41:12):
I know Fats can be fairly good. Um, they have a few, I’ve gone in there and I mean, they’re not even a new comic, um, store, they’re a back issue store. But I’ve gone in there and seen quite a few, um, Aussie Indies on the, um, on the back, what do you call it? The, the back wall.
Jesse Dracman (41:30):
Yep.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (41:32):
So that was pretty cool because
Jesse Dracman (41:32):
I, ’cause we’ve got, um, we’ve got comics, et cetera here in Brisbane. Um, and I’m, I’m still trying to, you know, they, they’ve got some Aussie Indie stuff in there, but, um, I wanna try and get more of it and make it a bit more prominent so that, ’cause you, you know, I, I spend quite a fair bit of time in there and you still, you always see the kids going in there, not not sure what to buy, you know, a lot of fresh faced, um, new comic enthusiasts and, um, they just wanna get pointed in the right direction. And I’d love to just try and make, um, some of the Aussie stuff a bit more visible to their, to their eyes so they can see that, um, there’s some really cool stuff right here. Yeah, yeah, absolutely.
Don Ticchio (42:17):
Well, we get, um, good support from the store in Canberra.
Jesse Dracman (42:22):
Oh, that’s
Don Ticchio (42:22):
Good. Um, we don’t, um, don’t really take to too many shops. It’s just been too hard.
Jesse Dracman (42:31):
It is hard,
Don Ticchio (42:31):
Isn’t it? And um, you know, we’re, we’re just concentrate on selling at the shows and whatever online sales we get. And, uh, but, uh, but the Canberra, the Canberra stores have, have been very good. Um, I think, uh, last year, Reba, when they, they held the a a comic convention, then he went along to that. Um Oh, cool. But, um, that’s
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (43:00):
Pretty cool.
Don Ticchio (43:01):
Jeez. You digital guys are so freaking good. It’s, um, <laugh>. I was, I was saying to Shane and, uh, I’ve got an iPad, but I’m not confident <laugh> that I could do anything, but, uh, yeah,
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (43:21):
Gotta look out for That’s where the real skill
Don Ticchio (43:23):
Is. No, no, no, no. I gotta, I’ve gotta, I’ve gotta take my time to do it properly, but, uh, I’ll show you what I have so far, if you want.
Jesse Dracman (43:32):
Oh yeah, I’ll
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (43:33):
Bring you up.
Don Ticchio (43:34):
Um, it’s, it’s a rough pencil and I dunno if you can read my scribbly writing or do you want me to take a <laugh>? Uh, he’s doing a, a matrix bullet do here. Oh, cool. Oh, I love it. And he is saying, can’t we talk about this over a pizza <laugh>? I love it. That
Jesse Dracman (43:58):
Is brilliant.
Don Ticchio (44:00):
I love it.
Jesse Dracman (44:01):
I love it.
Don Ticchio (44:02):
I’ll probably add something else to it do with wording when it’s, when it’s finished, but I love it, Don, he just found his brother and he, he, he’s obviously, he wants the love and everybody hates him. Why is that? You know, before we got on, I thought, geez, if I, if I end up being, uh, the first off the re to go with this, and he was giving his little brother Oh, he, he was showing the thing about, you know, about the brother. And I said, but, but my brother, the one I was gonna do was, but my brother died in the first splash page. Yeah,
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (44:38):
Yeah. <laugh> <laugh>.
Don Ticchio (44:41):
There was another robot there. <laugh>. But this has gone to a, a, a very good tangent. Good. Yeah,
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (44:49):
Yeah. Yeah. Cool. <laugh>.
Don Ticchio (44:51):
Yeah. You know what, what, Shane, I think I might scan this in my computer and do it on the iPad and I’ll send you the finish one from the iPad. Ooh,
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (45:02):
Magic.
Don Ticchio (45:03):
Yeah. It’ll, it’ll gimme a steadier hand. You know, <laugh>
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (45:08):
<laugh> can’t be worse than mine. Don
Don Ticchio (45:11):
<laugh>
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (45:13):
Can’t be worse than mine. <laugh> <laugh>. My, um, tremors are so bad. I take medications to try to get rid of them. Oh, go like this. Pizza solves all problems. That’s cold creature <laugh>. Oh, that’s awesome. Pizza pull apart.
Don Ticchio (45:31):
Pizza is comfort food. It it always has been. Yeah.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (45:36):
Always will be,
Don Ticchio (45:37):
Always will be <laugh>
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (45:41):
Like, pizza’s like a universal language of love. Yes. <laugh>. Well, we’ve got this cool comment by Richo Pizzas pull apart, but never with friendships. <laugh>. Oh, that’s men. That’s men. Go on you Travis. Well you’re flying through that panel, Jonathan. Yeah.
Don Ticchio (46:07):
You’ve already done it. Geez.
Jonathon Saunders (46:09):
Yes. <laugh>.
Edmund Kearsley (46:11):
Those blast lines are looking cool.
Don Ticchio (46:15):
So Shane, if I, if I take a photo of this, that’s enough for you to do what you’ve gotta do until I finish it?
Edmund Kearsley (46:22):
Yeah,
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (46:23):
Yeah. Well, uh, you’ve got about 10 minutes before you need to, so you can do 10 minutes more of stuff on it. Okay.
Don Ticchio (46:29):
Alright. Yep.
Jonathon Saunders (46:37):
It’s always hard to get that, uh, when doing metal characters, the reflections that look good. Mm.
Don Ticchio (46:43):
<laugh>
Edmund Kearsley (46:49):
It’s definitely one of the textures you need to know when you’re drawing superhero stuff.
Don Ticchio (46:55):
What are you, what are you drawing on, Jonathan?
Jonathon Saunders (46:58):
Oh, yeah, I’m using, um, my programme of choice is, uh, clip studio Paint and I’ve been using that
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (47:04):
Oh, okay. Before,
Jonathon Saunders (47:06):
Yeah, since 2000 and probably 2013. Um, back then it was called Manga Studio.
Don Ticchio (47:12):
Oh, okay. Yeah.
Jonathon Saunders (47:14):
And yeah, it’s pretty much, yeah, my go-to and I, I got it because it was, um, ’cause when I, I used to be a stencil artist, I would, you know, draw my pictures, you know, you know, by hand, uh, ink them, then scan them into the computer, then print them out. So onto, um, transparencies to cut up and make into a stencil. And then I figured, oh, maybe it’s easier if I just draw into the computer. And by then, like I’d used some drawing tablets in high school button. It was then like, in the 2010s that they’d actually become good enough. I, well, personally, I thought good enough that, you know, that I could, you know, use them. Uh, ’cause again, back in the late nineties, early two thousands, it was like, I just felt that it, the, um, line quality wasn’t to where I wanted it. Yeah. By the 2010s it got there. So I switched to digital and, um, haven’t looked back since. But, uh, I still like, when, there’s times when my, when my computer’s being worked on or something happens and I have to draw, you know, I, I still go back to pen and paper, but then I find, you know, when I’m drawing and I wanna zoom in on something, I do that on the paper. Like, oh
Don Ticchio (48:28):
Yeah, can’t do that,
Jonathon Saunders (48:30):
<laugh>. And of course there’s no undo button. <laugh>.
Don Ticchio (48:33):
<laugh>. Well, see, I think the, the traditional, it, uh, the traditional way gives you more discipline, I think.
Jonathon Saunders (48:44):
Yeah.
Don Ticchio (48:45):
You definitely have to be more accurate and on the ball, so. Yeah.
Jonathon Saunders (48:49):
Yeah, yeah. No, I’m glad I, um, learned the traditional way. Um, yeah. ’cause back when I was in high school, they still had traditional black and white photography. And then now that’s all digital. So it has, uh, good points and bad points.
Don Ticchio (49:06):
Oh yeah. See
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (49:10):
And, uh, Jesse,
Jesse Dracman (49:12):
Yo,
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (49:13):
You went straight team, didn’t you? You didn’t even pencil first <laugh>.
Jesse Dracman (49:17):
No, I went straight in. Man.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (49:20):
What a man, what a machine.
Jesse Dracman (49:22):
I know. Hammer and Tongs brother. <laugh>
Edmund Kearsley (49:26):
<laugh>.
Jesse Dracman (49:28):
Is it the right way? Probably not <laugh>
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (49:31):
<laugh>,
Jesse Dracman (49:33):
But, uh, yeah, no, I, I I I love doodling drawings whenever I can. And, uh, yeah. Sweet. Watching you guys do it just, uh, just fills me with inspiration like, huh, that is really freaking cool and I should try and do that. So <laugh>. Yeah, that’s good. I’m forever trying to draw at, uh, conventions just to feel part of the action. ’cause I’m al I’m always looking around. Every single artist is always there doodling on stuff, and I’m like, damnit, <laugh> <laugh>. I’ll join in on this. <laugh>.
Edmund Kearsley (50:09):
Have you ever ever thought of doing a, a full comic book by yourself?
Jesse Dracman (50:13):
Yeah, absolutely. Yeah. I’ve, I’ve got, um, I’ve got a couple of ideas and, um, things that I’ve, you know, mucked around with o over time and um, yeah, I’m definitely keen to try and do something a bit proper and um, have just have a bit of fun. Really.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (50:30):
So just outta curiosity, would this be your first comic that you are in with your art?
Jesse Dracman (50:36):
Correct.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (50:37):
Me too.
Jesse Dracman (50:39):
Hey, <laugh>. Oh, so cool.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (50:46):
Oh, Robbie’s uh, now I want pizza. All his talk of pizza, eh,
Edmund Kearsley (50:49):
<laugh>. <laugh>.
Jesse Dracman (50:51):
I could go for one <laugh>. Yeah. Sign me up. No anchovies dude. <laugh>
Jonathon Saunders (51:03):
Nice. Uh, cool.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (51:13):
Now I’m just gonna like do that whole, um, the admin of the show so I can show whatever I want thing and just uh, put up the blank link again.
Edmund Kearsley (51:25):
<laugh>,
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (51:27):
It also covers my face, which is a beautiful thing. <laugh>. Now what bit here,
Jonathon Saunders (51:41):
There we go. Make sure the save
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (51:43):
It. <laugh>. Am I ordering pizza? Maybe. I’m, that’s from Robert. Kurt
Jonathon Saunders (51:48):
<laugh>.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (51:54):
That’s awesome. Guess you’re having pizza for dinner, huh? Ed
Edmund Kearsley (51:59):
Sounds like it.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (52:01):
<laugh>.
Edmund Kearsley (52:04):
So me and Ciz, they’re gonna be at the Supernova in a couple of weeks.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (52:10):
Yeah. Gold Coast Weeks. It fell like
Edmund Kearsley (52:12):
Two weeks. The Melbourne one.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (52:14):
Melbourne one my friend.
Jesse Dracman (52:15):
Yeah. I’ll be, uh, at the Gold Coast one.
Jonathon Saunders (52:19):
Cool.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (52:19):
Oh cool. I’m gonna try to make it there. Not with a table though, just as myself.
Jesse Dracman (52:23):
Oh, I’ll be there with the table. So come and um, dump some stuff.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (52:26):
Yeah, I’ll come best here.
Jesse Dracman (52:28):
Yeah, please. I think I’ll have, um, actually here’s another news Flash. I’ll have, uh, the latest issue of Furious, uh, furious number two will be available. So yeah.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (52:40):
Oh, awesome. Yeah, man. Are I’m getting that signed.
Jesse Dracman (52:44):
Yeah, it’s um, in the words of uh, my editor, he goes, holy shit, this is violent. And I went, yeah,
Edmund Kearsley (52:51):
<laugh>. It
Jesse Dracman (52:52):
Is <laugh>. I love it. Here’s a violent one. Once
Jonathon Saunders (52:55):
<laugh>,
Edmund Kearsley (52:59):
I’m gonna have a special colour covered of my Sea Angels from Earth Book.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (53:08):
Oh yeah. So if you’re in Melbourne, make it. And if you’re not in Melbourne, get your ass to Melbourne. You want this book So far it’s only been available in black and white cover.
Edmund Kearsley (53:20):
This is a special one that I stapled in the wrong way. So that should be the front page.
Jonathon Saunders (53:26):
<laugh>. Oh, that’s a collector’s edition then.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (53:30):
Yeah, I was gonna say that’s collector’s edition.
Jonathon Saunders (53:30):
Yeah, its man <laugh>. That’s
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (53:32):
A mystery that could be worth a fortune.
Jonathon Saunders (53:35):
Mm.
Edmund Kearsley (53:36):
That’s the fun of I spend all day, uh, chopping these down and stapling and folding.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (53:44):
Oh wow.
Edmund Kearsley (53:45):
And I’ve gotta check them all now to see if I’ve done any other ones wrong. It should be fun.
Jonathon Saunders (53:53):
That’s it.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (53:58):
Oh, Nick may, ed, that looks great.
Edmund Kearsley (54:01):
Thank you.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (54:03):
Can’t wait to get a copy. Well, I get in there before all the people get in there, so I’ll be buying that off your head before anyone even comes in. I will be the first <laugh>.
Jonathon Saunders (54:13):
Yes.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (54:17):
Then you can write it, you can sign it. You are number one. Si go
Edmund Kearsley (54:21):
<laugh>.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (54:27):
I love it. Um, yeah, speaking of having fun with comics, I will be bagging and boarding a couple of hundred soon. Nice. Sick. So that’ll be fun. Um, b not Bose. Yeah, Bose. Sorry. Oh God, my brain’s not working. I’m sick. Um, <laugh> Bose is coming in and there’s about a 150 of those and then there’s um, presents is coming in about just after it and it’s about, uh, actually haven’t looked at the total. I’ve just looked at the numbers of each cover. So, um, if I was good at mass while I’m in this condition, which I’m not, I’d be able to add it up in my head and tell you one plus one equals four Exactly. Equals a window. Window. So I tell you
Jonathon Saunders (55:18):
<laugh>.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (55:23):
Ah, yes. So that’ll be a bit of fun for me. Good way to spend Easter.
Jonathon Saunders (55:31):
Mm-Hmm. Yeah, that’s there.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (55:35):
That long weekend will be my bag. Bag and board weekend or board and bag. Oh, whichever way you meant to say
Jonathon Saunders (55:42):
<laugh>. <laugh>.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (55:45):
I think you have to go bag at first and then board it. Yeah. A bag board would probably make most amount of sense. Yeah,
Jonathon Saunders (55:51):
That makes sense.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (55:52):
<laugh>, it’d funny putting the board against it and then <laugh> then trying to get the bag around that. Yeah, I think that would be a silly way to do it. As someone who just watched a fraction of the show and heard me say boredom bag, they’re in for some trouble trying to do that
Jonathon Saunders (56:07):
<laugh>.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (56:10):
That’s why I watched the whole show people the whole show,
Jonathon Saunders (56:13):
The whole show
Edmund Kearsley (56:15):
<laugh>,
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (56:21):
It’s good for you and it’s good for the algorithm and it’s good for us. So everyone’s happy
Edmund Kearsley (56:26):
And like, and comment and subscribe to the YouTube channel.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (56:30):
Yes, good
Edmund Kearsley (56:31):
Point. If you haven’t already
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (56:37):
Hit that like button, hit that subscribe button. You know you want to,
Jesse Dracman (56:41):
It’s good for you.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (56:42):
That’s right. Even if you don’t wanna do it anyway.
Jesse Dracman (56:44):
It’s good. Karma.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (56:46):
<laugh>,
Edmund Kearsley (56:53):
Do you reckon it’s about that time, sis?
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (56:56):
I reckon it is all sending your photos, sending your scans, send in your, um, screenshots, whatever we’re ready for them. Just you can send ’em to my messenger if that’s the easiest way to do it.
Don Ticchio (57:09):
Damn it. It’s like a deadline at the agency. Gimme more time. <laugh>.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (57:13):
<laugh> doesn’t need to be finished. <laugh> just needs to be done enough so people get an idea what the page is gonna look like.
Don Ticchio (57:23):
Okay. I’ll take a photo of it and I’ll send it to you, sis. Yeah,
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (57:27):
Thank you very much sir.
Edmund Kearsley (57:28):
While they’re doing that, we can, uh, have a look@thecomic.shop. We can get does, I think you said there’s over a hundred titles now, sis.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (57:41):
There’s 105 titles and I’ve just been given a poll of them here. So there’s, there’s gonna be about 110 by the end of the week.
Jesse Dracman (57:48):
Sick.
Edmund Kearsley (57:49):
110. So
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (57:50):
A lot of the poll is restock, people restocking there items, but there is a few in there which are new.
Edmund Kearsley (57:56):
There’s my one. Would you be able to get at Supernova?
Jesse Dracman (58:00):
Woo-hoo. I love, I love Radical. That’s one of my favourite Aussie comics, man.
Edmund Kearsley (58:05):
Thank you.
Jesse Dracman (58:06):
Yeah, seriously. I love it.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (58:07):
Yeah, it’s awesome.
Jesse Dracman (58:08):
Total fun.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (58:11):
Oh, uh, Jesse, you need to send me a picture of yours too.
Jesse Dracman (58:15):
Yes, I will. I promise.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (58:18):
<laugh> as in right now.
Jesse Dracman (58:20):
As in right now. Okay. Yeah.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (58:22):
Yes.
Edmund Kearsley (58:22):
Take a picture of it. <laugh>.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (58:24):
All right. Sorry about the confusion.
Jesse Dracman (58:26):
<laugh>. No, no, don’t be. It’s just, I may disappear off the screen. Hey, it’s Maurice in the middle. What’s up?
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (58:33):
Nice in
Edmund Kearsley (58:34):
The middle.
Don Ticchio (58:36):
See, you should have got a by now.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (58:38):
Yep. Got yours on. Awesome.
Edmund Kearsley (58:45):
To Comex caps.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (58:49):
We’ve actually sold a few of those. I was surprised.
Don Ticchio (58:51):
Yeah. I actually liked that ship. Jenny. I, I I’ve got four issues. How many issues is there? Five, isn’t it?
Edmund Kearsley (58:59):
Um,
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (59:00):
Um,
Edmund Kearsley (59:02):
Don’t know,
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (59:02):
It’s, yeah, this is random or just so you won’t see them all. Um, I can’t remember. It’s four or five actually. I just click on that and it’ll take you to all of them at
Edmund Kearsley (59:16):
Four
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (59:17):
Four in one collected edition.
Don Ticchio (59:19):
Oh, that’s what, that’s what confused me.
Jesse Dracman (59:20):
Yep. Yep. <laugh>.
Edmund Kearsley (59:29):
So buying comics from the comic shop helps to support or the, or the comic shows such as this one and the drink and draw and, um, chinwag and the, uh, shade’s interview show
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (59:51):
And the review show de that’s
Edmund Kearsley (59:53):
And the review show. And a lot of these, uh, cartoonists have been on the show too on this one.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (01:00:06):
Hmm, that’s true.
Jesse Dracman (01:00:11):
Yeah, we’ve got a lot of good stuff in Australia. It’s so cool.
Edmund Kearsley (01:00:16):
That covers for Toby too. Looks good.
Jesse Dracman (01:00:19):
Mm. Uh, Brad Daniels Edge comics stuff that never happened. That’s always fun. <laugh>
Edmund Kearsley (01:00:32):
Great titles for his books.
Jesse Dracman (01:00:34):
That’s awesome. Yeah. I love that. Good Devil’s Toilet. That’s a fun read too.
Edmund Kearsley (01:00:39):
Is good. I think that’s, I’m on the wrong screen.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (01:00:52):
I think that’s all of Emed.
Edmund Kearsley (01:00:53):
Yep. Cool. So you can
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (01:00:56):
Time for me to share my screen?
Edmund Kearsley (01:00:58):
Take the screen back.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (01:01:04):
Oh, look at that blank. What? Coincidence And I better, I’ve got something over that screen at the moment. I can’t actually see it. Okay, here we go. What we’re gonna do, I’m gonna start off with my favourite here. We’re gonna go through people’s Instagrams to have a bit of a kill some time while Ed sorts out those pictures. So we’re gonna start with Don. I love Don’s Careful No posts yet.
Jonathon Saunders (01:01:28):
Woo.
Don Ticchio (01:01:32):
Like I said, that’s my, my kids set it up, but I <laugh> one day. You’ll be surprised there’ll be some <laugh>.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (01:01:41):
Yep. Well 23 followers for No Post is pretty impressive. <laugh>,
Jesse Dracman (01:01:45):
That’s all. It’s a
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (01:01:48):
Legend. Okay, then we’ll go with Jonathan. We’ve got a few pictures here of the Zero Point Origin looks with. That’s that. So just have a bit of a look, see what you’ve thrown in your inta. Yeah. So a lot of, just a lot of art stuff.
Jonathon Saunders (01:02:11):
Mm.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (01:02:12):
That’s cool. That’s what you like to see on the show. Art <laugh>. Oh, transformers. I love it.
Jonathon Saunders (01:02:20):
Oh, nice.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (01:02:21):
They yours.
Jonathon Saunders (01:02:22):
Yeah, yeah, yeah. I was an idea. I’m playing around with <laugh>.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (01:02:27):
That’s cool.
Jesse Dracman (01:02:29):
You must lie drawing machines.
Jonathon Saunders (01:02:31):
<laugh>. Yeah. Yeah. No that’s right. It’s uh, you know, always loved, um, you know, transformers growing up as well. <laugh>. Yeah. Hopefully some of the life study stuff’s not gonna flag Instagram. <laugh>, I mean flag YouTube. Uh,
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (01:02:46):
We’ve had worse
Jonathon Saunders (01:02:48):
<laugh>
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (01:02:49):
We’ve had worse, and it wasn’t until I put it on Instagram that we got flagged drink and draws. Had some shockers.
Jonathon Saunders (01:02:59):
<laugh>.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (01:03:02):
I’ve actually learned not to show them anymore ’cause they did get us in trouble. <laugh>, this is awesome.
Jonathon Saunders (01:03:13):
Yeah, so if you can kind of see the Yeah, like the development of how I make, you know, zero point origins from pencils to Mm-Hmm. <affirmative> to the finished product. And you can see like animation processes as well. ’cause I’m a animator as well.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (01:03:28):
Yeah. So down the bottom people, Jonathan underscore Saunders illustration, that’s where you want to go. And then you’ll see all these wonderful pictures. Now we’re going to go over to Freak Productions. I’m hoping I picked the right one. ’cause this man has a few Instagrams.
Jesse Dracman (01:03:47):
<laugh>
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (01:03:56):
Got some pictures, we got some Supernova stuff, we got some, I think these are movies you talk about in that show that you do.
Jesse Dracman (01:04:02):
Yeah, I do a podcast every week. So I do two shows. So one week I do a horror. The next week I do pop culture. So, um, my mate Jake and me, he’s also a comic book writer. We, uh, we just just find all the childhood cheesy stuff, man. The cheesier the better. So
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (01:04:20):
Good fun. And it is cold.
Jesse Dracman (01:04:22):
Uh, so this week we’ve got Freaky Friday and next Saturday we’ve got Rad.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (01:04:28):
Oh, rad. Nice. Cool name. Yeah. And how do people find you? Don’t, don’t, don’t keep it a secret. How do people find you?
Jesse Dracman (01:04:35):
Uh, we’re on Spotify, apple,
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (01:04:37):
Spotify.
Jesse Dracman (01:04:38):
Yeah. It’s the, um, yeah, links are on the, um, Instagram as well. So fairly easy to find. I think so. Yeah. Yeah. It’s good fun.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (01:04:49):
And I’ve got the, the highlight there. Freak. Yeah. With two E Productions. Y Yeah. One word. Yee Go there and the links are there to the podcast. So that’s good to hear because they’re a lot of fun. I’ve only caught two I think so far, but yeah, they’re a lot of fun.
Jesse Dracman (01:05:06):
Yeah. Today we, uh, record an episode for this week’s and it was a lot of fun finishing our Romero zombie run. So yeah, it was Oh, nice. It was cool to talk about that. And we talked, um, you know, the Crow, the new trailer and the new alien trailer and just, you know, just two dudes talking shit basically. So Yeah. Mm-Hmm. Yeah. And, uh, that, that, uh, red, black, black and white picture there. That’s a teaser of the cover for, um, Furies too, which is coming out.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (01:05:37):
Oh, nice. Ooh. Yeah. Cool.
Jesse Dracman (01:05:42):
Yeah. Who’s the artist on that? Uh, a friend, a friend named Dean Doit and, uh, Indonesian artist. And um, yeah, we’ve been working together for about three years and, um, yeah, just, he’s a cool dude.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (01:06:05):
Rain Brothers
Don Ticchio (01:06:06):
Cool stuff.
Jesse Dracman (01:06:07):
Yeah. Thanks, man.
Don Ticchio (01:06:10):
That’s what I was saying about the internet for, for all the, the young ones that’ve come on or been on it for a few years, you know, the Internet’s opened up a lot of doors. Mm. And a huge community locally and worldwide, you know, it’s just, it’s freaking amazing. Really?
Jesse Dracman (01:06:31):
Yeah.
Don Ticchio (01:06:32):
It’s um, I wi, I wish, you know, we had that when I was in my thirties. <laugh>
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (01:06:41):
You’re not in your thirties
Don Ticchio (01:06:43):
Shit. No, mate. I made,
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (01:06:45):
I guess you’re age way off. I was thinking 32, 33 <laugh>. My beard is white by then.
Don Ticchio (01:06:58):
Ah,
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (01:07:03):
It looks like Ed might be ready.
Edmund Kearsley (01:07:04):
Yep.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (01:07:06):
Cool. I will, um, undo that
Don Ticchio (01:07:10):
Action. Jackson. That’s a great title.
Jesse Dracman (01:07:13):
Yeah man it is.
Don Ticchio (01:07:16):
So wonder nobody wrote out a book called Action Jackson. I know, right? Not related to that character. Just something different, you know? Yeah,
Jesse Dracman (01:07:23):
Yeah. Absolutely.
Jonathon Saunders (01:07:24):
Yeah.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (01:07:27):
And before, um, ed shows the finished picture, I’m just gonna read out the two comments we had in the meantime. Four likes. Everyone can do better than that. Oh, I like it. Andrew go Andrew Law, get some in there and ooh, punch that and then, uh, two likes came on. Make a 10. Yeah. I like the way you think Andrew.
Jesse Dracman (01:07:47):
Mm-Hmm.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (01:07:47):
<affirmative>. When we’re speaking of making more likes, seeing the page is gonna make you love the show. So look for that love heart symbol.
Edmund Kearsley (01:07:55):
Look at that. Alright, so we’ve got Jesse’s hand, brother Taylor medal
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (01:08:04):
<laugh>. Oh boy. Oh boy, that’s awesome.
Don Ticchio (01:08:08):
<laugh>.
Edmund Kearsley (01:08:09):
And then, um, Jonathan’s, but I hate you brother
Jonathon Saunders (01:08:17):
<laugh>.
Edmund Kearsley (01:08:19):
It’s a great action panel. And then can we talk about this over a pizza
Jonathon Saunders (01:08:25):
<laugh>
Edmund Kearsley (01:08:26):
Matrix Dodge.
Jesse Dracman (01:08:27):
That’s totally cool, man. I love the, I love the way This’s just panned out from hate to love to pizza.
Jonathon Saunders (01:08:36):
<laugh>
Jesse Dracman (01:08:37):
Tastes beautiful.
Edmund Kearsley (01:08:41):
So that is a good page once
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (01:08:43):
Again. That is awesome.
Don Ticchio (01:08:48):
Be interesting how it gets finished off.
Edmund Kearsley (01:08:51):
Yeah. We’ll find out next week.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (01:08:54):
Yeah, next week’s last page, isn’t it Ed?
Edmund Kearsley (01:08:57):
Yep.
Don Ticchio (01:08:57):
Yeah. I did like, uh, back in a few pages where he was flying, then he goes back down to, to land and he goes in it upside down and goes into the under <laugh> <laugh>.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (01:09:13):
That was good.
Jonathon Saunders (01:09:14):
Eh?
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (01:09:16):
We’ve got a Oh yeah, that’s great. From Nick May. A very cool from Cold Creature. Um, I was just about to read Andrew Laws out again, but I That’s not a new comment. He is. Right. It should be 10 likes.
Edmund Kearsley (01:09:32):
That should, don’t forget till I comment and subscribe.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (01:09:39):
Ooh, that’s a good question. Rich. What is going to happen next?
Jonathon Saunders (01:09:43):
Yeah.
Jesse Dracman (01:09:44):
Pizza party
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (01:09:45):
Judy. Next week.
Don Ticchio (01:09:46):
The more likes, the more people like to draw
Jonathon Saunders (01:09:49):
<laugh>. Same blank time, same blank channel. <laugh>.
Don Ticchio (01:09:56):
Sorry if my phone is bothering you. Keeps going off.
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (01:09:59):
Oh, is that what that is? <laugh>.
Jonathon Saunders (01:10:02):
It’s
Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (01:10:02):
All good. We don’t mind background noise here. It’s all good.
Don Ticchio (01:10:06):
I just think I had a little rubber ducky at the back or something.
Edmund Kearsley (01:10:08):
I thought he had a, a clown off screen.
