Ed Kearsley (00:43):
Hello.

Neale Blanden (00:47):
Hey.

Ed Kearsley (00:49):
Welcome to another episode of Let’s Make a comic book where we make a comic book with a different artist for every single panel. Tonight we’re going to be making page five, and we’re joined by Chris Wood, Paul Cameron, and Neil Blandon. Easy for you to see.

Neale Blanden (01:11):
Send it all by live.

Ed Kearsley (01:14):
That’ll be drawing our panels and let’s get stuck into it. And we’ll have a look at last week’s page and we’ve got the top panel by me where we’ve got Bitsy, got a Dukes up saying, I’ve got your 20 right here, pal. And then we’ve got whale, the octopus from space saying again, where is my $40 by Don ticker. And then Nick Cleary’s panel is Let’s talk payment plan. And that’s where you three will be carrying on wood. And to figure that out, we’re going to pick a panel layout.

Neale Blanden (02:04):
We you think ai? I say,

Ed Kearsley (02:10):
Yeah, you have to these days

Neale Blanden (02:14):
It’s all the

Ed Kearsley (02:14):
Craze. Oh, and we got that one

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (02:17):
Triangular one.

Ed Kearsley (02:18):
So that one, because Neil is doing traditional, he’ll have the bottom panel and I’m going to add, because it’s their only square one.

Neale Blanden (02:37):
Well, I can’t make a triangle. Whatcha talking about?

Ed Kearsley (02:42):
If you want to attempt it, we can do that.

Neale Blanden (02:45):
Whatever happens. It’s the faith of the hand, isn’t it? It is. It is hand.

Ed Kearsley (02:51):
Just hold on a sec. Copy your link and I’ll put that into the private chat for you guys with the digital so you can download it. Alright, so we’ll do the hand, now we’ve got the hand of choosing.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (03:12):
I’ll bring you up with the hand of choosing.

Ed Kearsley (03:15):
Then we’ll start with Chris, pick a number.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (03:21):
Oh no, we just lost Chris. Oh no, he’s back.

Ed Kearsley (03:27):
You there Chris?

Chris Wood (03:29):
Sorry about that. I am back. And I clicked the link and then got lost. What I’m picking you number here, I’m going to pick number three.

Ed Kearsley (03:37):
Number three,

Chris Wood (03:37):
It’s August 3rd is my birthday. Lemme go.

Ed Kearsley (03:39):
Three is number one first,

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (03:41):
My friend.

Ed Kearsley (03:42):
So you’ve got panel one,

Chris Wood (03:43):
Number one,

Ed Kearsley (03:44):
And then Paul, you pick a number four. Four is number two. It’s almost like we rigged it.

Neale Blanden (03:57):
What happened here?

Ed Kearsley (03:59):
So Neil gets the bottom panel.

Neale Blanden (04:03):
I dunno, I’m not going to say anything bad to Ed, that’s for sure.

Ed Kearsley (04:10):
And then we’ve got the extra fun bit tonight, which I’m sure the artists will love is we have

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (04:17):
X

Ed Kearsley (04:17):
Factor. We have these prompts that were given to us by the chat and they’re going to click on it and one of you is going to have to incorporate the word

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (04:29):
Somehow

Ed Kearsley (04:31):
Tho

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (04:32):
Dawn,

Ed Kearsley (04:36):
Right? And now we’re going to see, whoops. Now we’re going to see who’s going to do it. I have made another one with your guys’ names.

Chris Wood (04:48):
This is

Neale Blanden (04:48):
Scary. Wow. Someone spelled my name right? I’m very happy. Oh no.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (04:55):
Neil gets the thorn

Neale Blanden (04:59):
Between the routes.

Chris Wood (05:00):
Damn, that’s a tough one.

Ed Kearsley (05:06):
Professional. Like Neil. Yeah, it can be in the dialogue or the, okay, cool. And

Neale Blanden (05:16):
I’ll do it.

Ed Kearsley (05:20):
So Chris is first, was it?

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (05:22):
Yeah.

Ed Kearsley (05:23):
Yep. Yes. So Chris, you could start drawing. Yeah,

Chris Wood (05:27):
I’ll get started on this. It might just be just for a moment. So I pull up the link to the page layout. Forgive me.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (05:34):
Well, you guys are sorting that out. I’ll start going through the comments surprisingly a lot for such a short time. Sweet. I think you’re having a conversation. I’m not sure. Draw like the art Nick says, jumps in and says, yeah, what Nick said. And then you also said, good luck artist. People look forward to what happens next. Yes. And then Nick says what Stu said. Okay, cool. And oh yes, Nick says, draw more legs. The design of this for anyone who doesn’t understand that particular reference is Nick designed the legs of the character. Nick May. That is. And then yeah, draw Nick’s legs.

Ed Kearsley (06:26):
Well

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (06:28):
Bring back the Converse. No, the legs have thongs.

Ed Kearsley (06:33):
So this is the

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (06:34):
Have thongs,

Ed Kearsley (06:35):
The character bitsy the traded cat who was designed by Alex major, Peter Wilson and Nick Bay. And they all got a bit from each, so Alex did the head, Peter did the body, and Nick did the legs.

Neale Blanden (06:51):
Cool. Which had songs on,

Ed Kearsley (06:53):
Yeah,

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (06:54):
Metal legs with thongs. Very

Ed Kearsley (06:58):
1000 thong

Ed Kearsley (06:59):
Stretching. So that, oh,

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (07:06):
We got Shaw saying Neil’s game for anything apparently.

Ed Kearsley (07:10):
There you go. Okay,

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (07:12):
Fourth monkeys going use four 10. Nice. And loving the jumper. Paul. There you go. From Shawnee

Ed Kearsley (07:26):
And Shawnee named Bity as well.

Ed Kearsley (07:30):
I,

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (07:31):
Oh, that’s right. Yeah. So Paul, you got that file and everything sorted.

Paul Cameron (07:39):
Yeah, yeah, I’ve got it open in check. Yep. All good. Thank you.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (07:44):
Cool. So I’m going to pick on Paul for a bit.

Paul Cameron (07:48):
Yep,

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (07:49):
Let’s go. So yes, if I’m getting this right, I could be getting it wrong. I might’ve misunderstood our conversation earlier, but is this the first comic you’ve got art in?

Paul Cameron (08:00):
Yes, yes. So what happened was there’s a Canadian company called Gastone. They got the rights to Pan the Khan, which was, it was either a Ninja Turtle. Yeah. So they found some of my Ninja Turtle fan art in one of the groups and asked if I would do the graphic novel. And I said yes initially. But after realising what kind of undertaking that was going to be, because it wasn’t just a 24 pager, it was going to be, I think anywhere up to a hundred pages possibly. They’ve got an animated series and a lot of stuff happening, which is cool. But just having a day job and I was turning down a lot of other things, I just wasn’t sure if that’s what I wanted to do at this point. And then I got the gig doing the art for Alpha Clash with the trading card game. And I quite like doing the splash cover style pieces. So at this point, and look, I may regret the decision, but yeah, I chose to pull out of that project. Yeah, I think I did a cover, but that’s all I ended up doing. But they’re still trying to get all stuff together, so yes, this will be the first, yeah, comic go. I mean I did one years ago for myself, but it didn’t end up anywhere. Yeah.

Chris Wood (09:16):
Wow.

Paul Cameron (09:18):
So I just do sort of fan art type stuff now, whatever enters my mind really before that. Yeah. So I’ve done Supernova the last three years and a ComicCon and stuff, which has been good. Oh cool. Yeah, I have a standing artist the last three years. So that’s been good because you get to meet people that you don’t see the whole social media thing can be, it’s difficult. It’s hard to get out there. There’s a lot of talented artists all over the world when you compete against the entire world, not just locally as well, but yeah, so you meet different people. So I’ve got the chance to do some phantom sketch covers, which are good from Supernova and stuff like that. So a lot of Phantom fans actually turn up to those, which is really good. Didn’t know that. So I did some recently, I just sent them back, I did two phantom covers on the blank covers and stuff, so they were pencil and ink. Yeah, so that was good. I haven’t pencilled an ink for a while actually.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (10:18):
Oh yeah, of course.

Paul Cameron (10:20):
Yeah, I sort picked up the digital stuff during Covid and the novelty hasn’t wor off yet, so

Chris Wood (10:33):
Excellent. All right, so I’m kind of getting started here. I’ve got a basic sort of setup. It’s probably okay for me to pass this off to you guys to work off. Yeah, sure. I know I have to get mine done first, so I’m just going to send this through is the best way. I don’t think I can put it in the chat, but I can email it to you, sis.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (11:04):
I can’t put it in Messenger. Okay, that’s cool.

Chris Wood (11:07):
Oh, I can probably put it in messenger as well. That’s a good thing.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (11:10):
Yeah, that’s fine. That makes it easy for me. It comes up straight away then.

Chris Wood (11:17):
Yeah, no worries. I’ll do that.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (11:20):
Your computer doesn’t like you doing other things, does it?

Chris Wood (11:23):
And when you put up on explain, I’m going for, it’s cheesy. There we go. Just sent that off.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (11:39):
Thanking you, sir.

Chris Wood (11:40):
It’s a funny panel. It’s interesting.

Paul Cameron (11:45):
Yeah,

Chris Wood (11:46):
I don’t think I’ve ever used, I don’t think I’ve ever used a panel like that before, but maybe this goes,

Paul Cameron (11:51):
I can’t imagine you would use a triangle unless you were making a picture that was going to fit in one square, cut into the triangles, right?

Chris Wood (12:00):
Yeah, yeah, that’s what I was thinking. How would it work? I mean, I guess it could work with, that’s like an overlay panel and then I’m like, yes. So basically the last panel was kind of like the payment plan and I had this stupid pun where it’s like, I’m going to make you pay day and night and he throws the octopus thing, throws the character through the sun and the moon as to play off the day and night, but basically laying down a bit of punishment as they try to get their money. Nice. So yeah, hopefully that’s a good layup for everybody else. And bit of action

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (12:46):
Of the action.

Ed Kearsley (12:48):
So now it’s up to Paul to take the Batten.

Paul Cameron (12:51):
Alright, I was having a look earlier. I didn’t know about all this so I was doing a bit of research and stuff, so I was sort of sketching around just to, let’s see,

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (13:07):
I was send that picture to you as well, Paul, so you don’t have to keep

Paul Cameron (13:12):
Ah, okay, cool. All right. Yeah, so

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (13:14):
You’ve got a bit of a reference on what’s going on.

Paul Cameron (13:16):
Okay.

Ed Kearsley (13:19):
Alright, so while those guys are joining, thank you. Let’s have a chat with Neil,

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (13:24):
Mr. Neil,

Ed Kearsley (13:25):
Mr. Sir Neil Blandon, tell us about all these comic books that you’ve been putting out recently.

Neale Blanden (13:34):
Well, I have to get it together. I’ve been saying this for years, but it’s even this weekend maybe, maybe this weekend, maybe just after the weekend we’ll have a site. I think it’s just going to be a Cofi, which is, or a coffee as the kids call it, which is a site where you can put stuff up so people can access it and pay money for zines. And I dunno, I’ve got about four or five zines and we’ve got the two blends that’ll be on that as well. And they’ll be on ly and they’ll also be on somebody else’s. Hang on, can I do this? No wrong way. Someone else’s site there site soon. I’ve got to post them off tomorrow because packaging how good stuff. Well packaging’s so good. I go to the post office, this is a bi thing, but I go to the post office, there was no kind of a four sized cardboard boxes.

(14:37)
They with like 22 centimetres and I’m going, what wouldn’t you have them that size? Considering it’s a normal paper size anyway. Yeah, I found the special cardboard envelope and I’ll put them in more cardboard and then they’ll tell me what’s in here and I’ll say comics and then they’ll want to open it up because that’s what they do. And even though it’s local, we’ll get those posted off and I dunno, I just thought of some ideas for Bland three at the moment. So that’s probably early 20, 25 as long as Mr. Dard wants to print it and there was something, oh, I’ve just spent a whole bunch of time doing a comic strip for presents. The next presents, which is November, October, I dunno,

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (15:33):
Around then pretty loose.

Neale Blanden (15:38):
And also for Peter Lane, for sky’s Kevin Library, I did a three page, which will coming out in, I think for Bendi Con. Yeah, so Bendigo Con, which is this month now. I think it’s August. I think it’s in August. I can’t remember if it’s August or September. Look it up people. I’m not sure. Yeah, so that’s for the next one, which I think is five. Sky’s cabin library five. So I’ve been very busy

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (16:13):
Doing that. That’s a bit of coincidence because it represents five. The other one.

Neale Blanden (16:17):
Yes,

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (16:19):
Five and five. Nice.

Neale Blanden (16:21):
No, there we go. Yeah, for five for that. And then yeah, I’m just getting into the swing again. I think I’ve just finished those off and I’ll be able to sit the drawing board, which I like the most and draw and yeah, so I’m just organising some stuff. It should be organised next week. That’s the beauty of working when you want to work as far as paid work is concerned because all this stuff pays so wonderfully. Well

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (16:58):
On that note, while you’re talking about presents five, I just found out that if you buy one of those label printers and you hook it into Australia Post, you can label everything up as long as you have a scale as well. And then they come to your house and they take all 40 packages. It was brilliant. It was so relaxing. I just sat here and someone took ’em all away for me.

Neale Blanden (17:27):
So you had the Australian post bags or whatever boxes as you packed?

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (17:32):
No, he brought a bag up and just put the boxes in it.

Neale Blanden (17:35):
Yeah, but you had boxes for those orders, that’s what you mean? Yeah.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (17:40):
Oh yeah. Just my normal ones for the shop, the custom ones from some packaging place.

Neale Blanden (17:46):
People if you haven’t ordered before, they’re not normal. They’re really big and good.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (17:53):
Yeah, I had to search a bit to get those ones. The A four size ones,

Neale Blanden (17:57):
You might get the same one back I think.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (18:00):
Oh cool.

Neale Blanden (18:04):
Because I’m just going, oh, maybe they can all fit in this one. That’s my sten, that’s where I put all my plastic stencils, like my circles and square and triangle stencils. Well they’re all going to have to move now because I need that box.

Paul Cameron (18:20):
Will that work where I’ve put that helmet out of the box and into your one. So is that a no, basically to the payment plan? Does that make sense?

Neale Blanden (18:34):
That should be fine.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (18:39):
Yeah, that’s fine.

Paul Cameron (18:40):
Yeah. And will that interfere with yours, Chris?

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (18:44):
No, no, no. All good.

Paul Cameron (18:46):
I keep that.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (18:47):
I’m still rearranging things, but that’s fine. Yeah.

Paul Cameron (18:49):
Okay, cool. Alright, cool. And I’ll do the background

Neale Blanden (18:56):
And now I’ve seen a bit, I can start.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (18:59):
Oh yeah, it’s true. Well this one’s fine.

Paul Cameron (19:02):
I can do the background when this, do you need the finish panel? By

Ed Kearsley (19:10):
Monday would be good.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (19:11):
Yeah, Monday’s a good day.

Paul Cameron (19:13):
Yeah, fine, fine.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (19:15):
That gives us enough time to advertise what you guys have done for the next lot of people.

Paul Cameron (19:20):
Yeah. Cool. Yeah, easy. Have we got

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (19:27):
Comments?

Neale Blanden (19:29):
Got to use the word thorn, don’t I?

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (19:31):
That’s right. Somehow

Neale Blanden (19:34):
Kids today

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (19:36):
Comments? Sorry. Okay, we’ve got Nick saying Paul, if only you drew analogue, you could have the third panel high five. Neil for Blandon for the high five. Is that for the fives we were just talking about? I think so. Great expectation in the panel, Paul. Oh, that’s Shawnee. No pressure expression. Sorry, I can’t read. I need my glasses. Wear my glasses.

Paul Cameron (20:07):
Yeah, I went for a bit of a cartoony

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (20:10):
What’s a YZ Ma from Emperor’s New Groove. I dunno what that is.

Paul Cameron (20:16):
But yeah, I did go for, I thought it’d be I guess quicker to do a bit of a cartoony anime style because I’ve been experimenting with that sort of thing. Generally my normal style is sort of more comicy, right? But I’ve been playing with an anime type lines and rendering, which is a bit of fun too, so, oh

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (20:37):
Cool. That’s better Now I can read, now I can see words as they actually are. That’s all the comments. I see. Hopefully that’s all there is. Who should I harass? Everyone’s drawing now.

Ed Kearsley (20:59):
Well having a draw. Should we say about this thing? Si?

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (21:06):
Yes. If you would be interested on being this show or any of our other shows for that matter that allow, actually I think all of ’em do. Go to Comex show slash interest and fill out the form. Let us know who you are and I’ll get in contact with you and say, Hey, come on to this show and this show and this show and this show. And you’ll regret it because have you on everything

Ed Kearsley (21:31):
And of

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (21:32):
Course, fan art people, what’s going on this week? We’ve got none. So Comex show, that’s where you send your fan art for bitsy the tra cat and for those tomorrow night, that’s also where you send your art for drink and draw Plastic man. Plastic man. Yes. Excited.

Neale Blanden (21:53):
I can’t do it. I’m so excited. I love plastic. He’s one of my

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (21:56):
Favourites. He’s really good, isn’t it fun draw. Yeah.

Chris Wood (22:02):
Yeah.

Neale Blanden (22:03):
If I get a chance

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (22:08):
You’ll have to stay up tonight and draw plastic man. There you go. Yeah, so that’s those two things I what else? I’m trying to think.

Ed Kearsley (22:27):
We haven’t talked to Chris yet.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (22:30):
Oh no, of course. Because Chris started straight away.

Ed Kearsley (22:32):
Yeah, tassle him.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (22:35):
I’m going to bring you up Chris, because you’ve got something to show us, haven’t you?

Chris Wood (22:40):
Oh yeah, I do. We had

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (22:43):
My friend

Chris Wood (22:43):
Over in Perth, we had the Perth Comic Arts Festival last weekend, the weekend just gone. It’s a nice little independent grassroots comic festival, just comics. And I was there with the did you verse crew. So Scott Wilson, Wolfgang and Molly Hunt as well, and we were talking about our, well we were showing off actually some art. This is a little 10 page preview just to get some eyes on it and I can kind of show this up now. The cover is not done yet, but I can actually give you a sneak peek. It’s something art.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (23:25):
Ooh, sneak peek. It’s

Chris Wood (23:26):
All fully lettered. Cool. That’s good. Out really well.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (23:31):
It’s a great bonus. Is that yours Chris?

Chris Wood (23:33):
So doing all the art on here, which is pretty daunting. I’m not a colorist, but so that’s been kind of stressful and I actually have some hot takes on colouring. I have a certain way, I think it looks good. So I actually had to put my money where my mouth was here. But yeah, here’s some of the pages.

Paul Cameron (23:51):
That’s cool. That’s really cool, dude. Yeah, that’s the things. Is this the first comic you’ve done, Chris?

Chris Wood (24:00):
No, no. I’ve done a few comics

Paul Cameron (24:03):
For yourself. Comics

Chris Wood (24:05):
For a while.

Paul Cameron (24:07):
How did

Chris Wood (24:07):
You find, well, no, how do you, yeah, so the process was great. I mean I worked pretty regimentally, I did layouts, I do pencils, inks, doing an order, so it was a good setup. It was just the colouring, which I hadn’t really done before. I’ve coloured things before, but I had done a few comics in the past, but this is a 32 page first issue, sci-fi, superhero, heaps of designs, big book really? And expanding their line of comics. Cool. So yeah, it’s been a wild ride, but we’re very close to finishing it, so it should be out this month.

Paul Cameron (24:49):
The lines look really nice, man. Yeah, they’re really good.

Chris Wood (24:52):
Yeah. Yeah, so there’s some cool Oh nice that I got.

Paul Cameron (24:57):
Yeah, I like

Chris Wood (24:57):
It. I mean the thing is we’re just like, let’s do something that can really stand on the shelf against American comics. Let’s do,

Paul Cameron (25:08):
Yeah, a hundred percent

Chris Wood (25:10):
Comic. And that was kind of the thing going in there and going into the project and yeah, so far so good. So I’m really excited to show a little bit to people online that weren’t there on the weekend at Perth and excited to talk about it more once it’s all done and yeah, it’s exciting

Paul Cameron (25:30):
Stuff. No, that’s good work, man.

Chris Wood (25:31):
Happy to be on here and talk about it and And also, yeah, I’ve been working on coffee table as well. That’s basically just needs to be lettered and then that’s done. That’s been a long couple of years of just free time trying to get that done. That’s like a hundred pages. I’ve been busy.

Paul Cameron (25:50):
Is that a full-time thing then? You do, you’re doing this?

Chris Wood (25:55):
Yeah, yeah. I’m illustrator full time. Yeah, so at the moment I’m doing comics, but I kind of do anything I can. I do weekly cartoons

Paul Cameron (26:02):
For a company,

Chris Wood (26:05):
Which I had to take a break from because I was just so busy during the comic Dream walker stuff, but heaps of different things. I’m with an agency now so I don’t have to stress about trying to get work, which is a big thing. I spend too much time worrying about how to get work in the first place. So this is like

Paul Cameron (26:25):
Of course, although I

Chris Wood (26:26):
Brought That’s true. The thing along with me that was ongoing thing in the works. Yeah, that’s been a really good, I think I just, you’re back. Yeah, I looked, I was really deep in thought. Yeah, so random things. It’s been a crazy year pretty much so yeah, it’s been a while.

Chris Wood (26:57):
Good on you.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (26:58):
That’s really good. Yeah, it’s cool. Well I’m going to go, well sorry. Cheers. I thought I was interrupting then. No, go back to Shay’s comment. I like this one. I’m going to put this one up. After seeing Paul’s bitsy, I’m wondering if I should draw her on model or in the style of the cat in my comic. I think you should draw her on the show, Shay. That’s what I think. You should come onto the show. Get that link. Where’s that link? Ed?

Ed Kearsley (27:28):
Join the style that you draw.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (27:30):
Yeah, draw it in the style that you draw. I agree with Ed on that one as well. Sorry I didn’t answer your question. Too busy trying to get you on the show. Definitely in your own style. Yes, we’ve got Alison. Hi all. Hope everyone is doing well. Thank you Alison. Hello and Shawnee’s. Nice art Chris. I can particularly hear the synth,

Ed Kearsley (28:00):
The synth wave music in the background.

Chris Wood (28:01):
Yeah, yeah, some cool tapping into a little bit of Jack. If anything, sci-fi, you’re instantly going to default to Jack Kby. Stop there.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (28:18):
Yeah, that was very cool. Chris, you don’t have to unmute yourself. It’s all good.

Chris Wood (28:27):
I will just

Ed Kearsley (28:35):
So,

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (28:36):
Oh, I picked on everyone and everyone’s drawing. I don’t know what to do now except

Ed Kearsley (28:42):
We’re getting near a halfway mark. So what, we’ll get a catch up and see what everyone’s drawn so far. If Chris wants to send in another picture.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (28:57):
Yeah, another one, mate. Good idea.

Ed Kearsley (28:59):
Looks like Neil’s going to send one too,

Chris Wood (29:01):
So I’ve changed things around just a little

Ed Kearsley (29:03):
Bit. Really Light

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (29:10):
Shawnee says, I mean my days at work have changed, which means I’m home. I’m now home on Thursday. Ah, so you are running out of excuses not to come on the show. Fighting nails, she says, oh sorry. Helps if I download it to the programme. I, I’m doing the circus song. We’re all in trouble now. Oh nice.

Ed Kearsley (29:54):
Ah. Change direction. Yeah,

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (29:56):
Change

Chris Wood (29:56):
Concept but just change directions and I’m wondering, I think it wasn’t necessarily the best idea, it was just a trade off. Right? It’s probably more interesting coming

Ed Kearsley (30:05):
Up. That’s better

Chris Wood (30:06):
Viewer. Yeah,

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (30:07):
That works better. I know.

Chris Wood (30:08):
Yeah, I think energy wise I’m just aligning up that it’s coming towards and the action lines. I think I’d struggle a little bit. It’s a good place now

Ed Kearsley (30:21):
With Paul’s one on as well because bitsy head’s going to be up near where bitsy is getting shot. Too subtle.

Chris Wood (30:27):
Yeah.

Paul Cameron (30:29):
Will it be okay? It’s not going to take over too much

Ed Kearsley (30:31):
There. No, we can shrink yours down a

Paul Cameron (30:33):
Little bit. Exactly. Perfect. Yeah,

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (30:36):
Yeah, yeah. Cool. And we will show off yours next. Oh hang on, I’ve got to take that off the screen. I figured how this works. That’s only barely coming over the line.

Ed Kearsley (30:51):
Yeah, yeah,

Paul Cameron (30:51):
Yeah. So it’s not heaps, but it’s good. As long as it’s okay. Yeah,

Chris Wood (30:57):
I like it when panels do that.

Paul Cameron (31:00):
Me too. I always have man. I always

Chris Wood (31:02):
When I’m not supposed to, but I like it.

Paul Cameron (31:05):
Yeah, same.

Ed Kearsley (31:14):
Did we get a thing from Neil?

Neale Blanden (31:16):
I’ve sent it to your personal by the sounds of things Shane.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (31:21):
Oh, you have two? Awesome.

Neale Blanden (31:23):
Is that okay if I do that? Because you’re just there on my phone. No,

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (31:30):
No, no. It’s perfect

Neale Blanden (31:33):
Now because it was square. I’ve just made a square.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (31:38):
It’s rectangular actually.

Neale Blanden (31:39):
Yeah, I knew that. I’ll fix it up in post. All right,

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (31:45):
That sounds good. But now we’ll just show this one off though. I love it.

Neale Blanden (31:54):
Cool. I’m glad you can see it

Chris Wood (31:57):
Up there. Love it.

Ed Kearsley (31:59):
That looks great.

Neale Blanden (32:00):
I’ve got to think of a snappy thing for Bity to say, including the word

Ed Kearsley (32:07):
Thorn. Thorn. I’ve got one but I can’t say it.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (32:12):
Yeah, we can’t change.

Chris Wood (32:17):
We not help Neil

Neale Blanden (32:18):
Thornbirds.

Ed Kearsley (32:19):
You guys can but me.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (32:22):
Yeah, me and Edward can’t.

Ed Kearsley (32:24):
And the chat can as well if you’ve got a thorn reference for

Chris Wood (32:29):
Neil. Yeah, chat should give us a hand.

Neale Blanden (32:32):
Yeah, I’m fine with that.

Ed Kearsley (32:36):
Speaking of chat,

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (32:38):
Yep. There’s a few more comments have come through. Shany says, oh yeah, I think it’s even more fun Chris. And it lines up better with Paul as Paul’s as well. Super cool. Yeah, see? Yep.

Paul Cameron (32:55):
That be

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (32:57):
We’ve got a consensus. Yeah,

Paul Cameron (32:58):
Absolutely dude.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (33:01):
Try some bits sis, see if they work. I dunno what he’s saying there, but that’s Alex. I don’t know what he’s saying. I don’t know. Alex is a funny man. Not always in a good way. John. Evening folks. Loving the layouts.

Ed Kearsley (33:22):
Cool. Hey Don.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (33:23):
Thanks Don. Don was on not last week, the week before,

Ed Kearsley (33:28):
Which was the last episode.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (33:30):
Which was the last episode. Yes. Sean, again, look at those rubber hose arms. I would say that’s for Neil’s picture. I love that style. Can practically see her bobbing up and down. Yeah, I can see that. Now that you’ve said it as well.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (33:54):
I

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (33:56):
Think I can even hear the tune. Excellent. Get those comments in. How should give some suggestions, not how should, but suggestions to Neil on how he should use the word thorn.

Ed Kearsley (34:14):
How he might could, what

Paul Cameron (34:15):
Should I do? Mike

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (34:16):
Could maybe

Paul Cameron (34:18):
Put,

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (34:19):
If he doesn’t take your suggestion. All those sorts of words. Looking Very cool Paul.

Paul Cameron (34:33):
Oh, thank you. Yeah, yeah, that’s pretty much what I, yeah, I’ll do to it now and then I’ll finish it off,

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (34:41):
Off. We’ve still got half an hour.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (34:43):
Go for it.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (34:49):
Do what you can.

Ed Kearsley (34:52):
Are you post up so we can see the cat?

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (34:55):
Yeah, the cat looks, look at that little cheeky face.

Paul Cameron (35:02):
Yeah, I wasn’t sure, but that’s sort of what came to my head first that this type

Neale Blanden (35:10):
No, I like everybody’s done different cats.

Paul Cameron (35:13):
Yeah, well that’s what I did. I noticed when I had a look at the other ones, the cats were all slightly different so I didn’t mind too much changing it up a bit.

Ed Kearsley (35:24):
Oh yeah,

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (35:25):
That can be the thing for the comic. A different cat every panel.

Paul Cameron (35:28):
Oh yeah. Is that

Ed Kearsley (35:30):
Cracks on her bowl?

Paul Cameron (35:32):
Yeah, because I figured she just got hit, right. Oh

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (35:36):
Yeah, of course.

Neale Blanden (35:37):
That’s awesome. I like that better pencil.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (35:42):
This is what I like about it. When you see what the other people are doing, then someone else has to change what they did. We had that a lot with blank. I remember some. What I remember the most is Logan French, adding in all these extra things so that the next panels made sense. Made more sense, I should say. They made sense but so they made more sense.

Neale Blanden (36:07):
Well you’re going to be disappointed in this one then.

Paul Cameron (36:09):
Did someone say, is bitsy a female? Like the body, is it a female body?

Ed Kearsley (36:14):
It’s a robot body.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (36:16):
Robot body. Yeah, the cats.

Paul Cameron (36:19):
Okay. Robots, okay. Right. Yeah.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (36:27):
With dare I say Mickey Mouse gloves.

Paul Cameron (36:33):
Yeah, I noticed that. Yeah. Yeah.

Ed Kearsley (36:35):
Not a lot of legs on there. On this PG though.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (36:39):
There isn’t. Oh no Nick.

Neale Blanden (36:47):
No. Yeah. Sorry. No legs for me. That all. I’ll draw a couple extra legs for a couple guys. Nice. Maybe put one in the bottom of the panel. Hang on.

Paul Cameron (37:06):
I could maybe do a Michael Jackson sort of that kick that little knee up something.

Neale Blanden (37:13):
I’ve got a back kick now

Paul Cameron (37:20):
Look.

Neale Blanden (37:22):
Sorry,

Paul Cameron (37:22):
Give me idea now wait a minute. Let’s have a look. I wonder,

Neale Blanden (37:25):
I’m going to, I’m going to put, I am putting a Chuck Norris on it. Is it Chuck Norris? What was the name of the basketballer? What are they called? Those the Converse Rams.

Ed Kearsley (37:37):
Chuck

Paul Cameron (37:37):
Taylor. Chuck Taylor. Chuck what?

Ed Kearsley (37:40):
Taylor.

Paul Cameron (37:41):
Chuck. Chuck works

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (37:45):
Much.

Paul Cameron (37:47):
Actually I want a pair of Chuck Norris’s actually. Yeah, that’d be pretty cool.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (37:53):
Indestructible shoes. I love it. Nick said Damnit, I’m out to the no legs and now he is like, oh, I’m back for the legs.

Neale Blanden (38:05):
Well they’re there now.

Paul Cameron (38:13):
I don’t even know what this means, but,

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (38:16):
Well here we go Sean. There definitely seem to be a thorn in each other’s sides.

Neale Blanden (38:23):
Something like that. Or crown of thorns.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (38:26):
Yeah. Nice.

Ed Kearsley (38:27):
That was going to be my suggestion.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (38:30):
Oh, we’ve got a like woo. Yeah,

Paul Cameron (38:34):
Try and

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (38:34):
Work it out. I don’t know. I’m not sure things we do for you Nick may,

Neale Blanden (38:51):
He’ll probably want money for it because using his,

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (38:58):
Has Neil played royalties? Is that bassoons lately? Is that how you pronounce it?

Neale Blanden (39:03):
What? Bassoon. That was a joke. What’d

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (39:08):
You call me?

Neale Blanden (39:09):
No, it was Rob’s comic Ver Moose and I said to him, what’s happening with your bassoon? When’s it coming out? Because it had been quite a while since I did the comic strip, but there’s news. How about that? That was a Kickstarter and a half.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (39:30):
Good

Neale Blanden (39:30):
Man. That went off.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (39:33):
Oh, someone sent some fan art. You beauty.

Ed Kearsley (39:38):
I know who it was too. Sent some fan art. Send cash.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (39:44):
Send cash.

Neale Blanden (39:47):
Yeah, I can change that soon. It won’t be send cash. It’ll be send cash digitally.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (39:58):
Okay. I think I downloaded,

Neale Blanden (40:05):
Where’s my phone?

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (40:09):
Excellent. We’ve got some fan art. Just throw it up. Uploads. Instant fan art from Nick May. Look at those legs

Neale Blanden (40:21):
Very musty. Legs.

Ed Kearsley (40:23):
Legs.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (40:24):
Skip leg there. It’s good. Nice. Thank you. Nick.

Ed Kearsley (40:33):
Bits got a little

Neale Blanden (40:34):
Background.

Ed Kearsley (40:36):
Bitsy Hass got a little heart on her chest too for everyone too. Where? I’ll

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (40:42):
Put it up again. There you go. On her chest. Ah, cool. Easy. Yep.

Ed Kearsley (40:47):
Because I only forgot that when I did my panel too.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (40:50):
Wait, okay. Easy to miss. I just realised we’re meant to have a thing scrolling along bottom, aren’t we?

Ed Kearsley (41:04):
You don’t have to.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (41:05):
Don’t have to. I don’t think it says anything useful, Jess. I think it says where to send the art

Ed Kearsley (41:12):
There, which we can do with buttons.

Ed Kearsley (41:22):
I

Ed Kearsley (41:22):
Don’t think I’ve ever Once and

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (41:24):
Octopus before.

Ed Kearsley (41:25):
Yeah. Octopus is a hard to draw. They’re fun though.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (41:33):
I’ll throw another one up. If you want to see older episodes of this and any of our other shows go there. Comex show.

Neale Blanden (41:43):
Plethora

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (41:48):
Shows everything. All shows that have been, some of them are even transcribed by the evil robots that will one day take over, but instead of that they’re getting their revenge by transcribing very poorly. So it’s a good laugh to see what it thinks people are saying.

Paul Cameron (42:09):
We tried to, at work, we’re looking for a PowerShell script for exchange and then some of the stuff I came up with was absolutely garbage. We didn’t think it defined anything good, but we just thought we’d see what it came up with. That was rubbish.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (42:30):
I

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (42:34):
We got more comments. Any more Thorn ideas? Ink’s looking awesome from Nathan. I’m assuming that’s aimed at everyone. Does Neil even know what plethora is? I don’t know. I don’t even know how to say it. So I wouldn’t know

Neale Blanden (42:55):
The big octopus monster thing. Is that what we’re talking about? Maybe?

Ed Kearsley (43:02):
No, you said plethora before.

Neale Blanden (43:04):
Oh, plethora. Yes I do actually. It means a lot and a variety of

Ed Kearsley (43:11):
Things.

Neale Blanden (43:13):
I was watching said channel the other day just to watch the very first drink and draw. They were all in their shorts. They’re all sitting there going, hello?

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (43:25):
The first one is yeah, the first four are pretty. Yeah, they’re great. They’re great, they’re great. But we’re definitely finding our feet.

Neale Blanden (43:39):
Just young lads

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (43:43):
So many years ago.

Neale Blanden (43:48):
Two

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (43:48):
Back in the early 2000 and twenties.

Ed Kearsley (44:01):
Dunno.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (44:03):
That’s awesome. Any of the non showing their screens. People want to send another pick in.

Neale Blanden (44:13):
Oh, did you grab my, I sent in the second one because I put a crown of thorn’s quote on it. It’s not funny, but I did my best.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (44:31):
You say you’re going to or you did?

Neale Blanden (44:34):
No, I did. It’s you again. Sorry. I’m not on this public one at the moment. Sorry. Because if I go there, I know. No.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (44:41):
Okay. I’ve got no pictures, that’s all.

Neale Blanden (44:46):
What am I done? Maybe

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (44:47):
Uploading and downloading the Internet’s going.

Neale Blanden (44:50):
Maybe I’m just a silly Billy. Hang on. Maybe I didn’t have the inter blogs on.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (45:00):
Ah,

Neale Blanden (45:02):
There we

Ed Kearsley (45:02):
Go. Oh, you got it.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (45:06):
I’ve got it. And I’m about to bring it over. Oh,

Neale Blanden (45:08):
There you go. It’s got a big shadow on this one.

Ed Kearsley (45:13):
Oh, we love that. Yeah,

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (45:13):
They haven read everything I take photos of.

Neale Blanden (45:16):
Yeah, I’ll fix everything in post.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (45:21):
Excellent. Well let’s whack this one up.

Ed Kearsley (45:30):
That’s crazy. I like it. Little foot.

Neale Blanden (45:38):
I made sure to put cracks on the glass. As in the tradition when someone falls down a hill, they’ve already got bandaids on them where they get down to the bottom.

Paul Cameron (45:46):
Exactly how good’s that really good. That flows well. That’s really good. Brilliant. Very good.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (45:57):
Nice.

Neale Blanden (46:03):
Actually I should do a crossy bandaid, shouldn’t I? You know the ones the cross? Yeah. Kind of two bandaid together for some reason.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (46:14):
The late 19 hundreds. I don’t think so. Oh, hang on. There’s a few comments before that. Oops. Tell me El Guapo, what is that movie? Plethora. Thanks Spie. Yep. And late 19 hundreds. No, no. It really was the early two twenties. Her poor eye and the files are already there. Flies are already there. Even with the glasses I can’t read. It seems

Ed Kearsley (46:51):
Victor flies are for the poopy in the corner because

Neale Blanden (46:55):
All cats have a poopy. Come on.

Ed Kearsley (46:58):
That’s what they do.

Neale Blanden (47:01):
I will say a very original looking character and I dunno how the cat’s getting out. I didn’t see any door on our aquarium. Our quarium there.

Paul Cameron (47:17):
So she’s pooped herself between panel two and three. It’s quite funny. So she the bottom now it’ll

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (47:31):
That’s very Catholic to do.

Neale Blanden (47:35):
Yeah. Oh, you just do it anywhere. Yeah. A cat thing to do

Ed Kearsley (47:54):
You almost,

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (47:54):
Almost at that time.

Ed Kearsley (47:57):
Got a couple more minutes while we’re waiting, sis, tell us about what’s coming up on the,

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (48:03):
What’s coming up

Ed Kearsley (48:04):
On the YouTube?

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (48:06):
On the YouTubes. Actually, I might be able to remember this without looking at my notes. Monday. We have Comex recent reads and I still haven’t found my notes and I still haven’t found my notes. Oh Jesus Christ.

Ed Kearsley (48:20):
There’s drink and draws tomorrow.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (48:22):
We’ve got Drink and Draw tomorrow. We should probably talk about that first. Yes, good point. As Plastic Man, the host of the off week version of the drink and Draw is Shannon Browning and he’ll be tomorrow’s host and we’ve got a full lineup of people to join us. I won’t pick on anyone here in case they haven’t confirmed. Here we go. Tuesday Chinwag with Lee Talker. He’s back next week. Woo. And he is, I haven’t put it up yet, but I’ll be putting up after this show. He is doing a, he’s doing group interview, group chat, chinwag, whatever you want to call it with the guys responsible for the return of the human fly.

Ed Kearsley (49:17):
Oh cool.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (49:19):
Yes. I’ll just bring Chris up. Oh you already did. Thanks.

(49:24)
And then Wednesday is Oz Comex show. Next week is our off week. This week was supposed to be our on week, but our guest was sick. So that happens Thursday is well this show and you have to come back next week to watch it because every week that it’s on, you’ve got to watch it. And like I said, Friday is drink and draw. Plastic man is the theme. Sending your art for it. Your fan art. Send it in now. Send it in tomorrow. Send it in during the show, preferably before the show. It makes my job easier because I’m just a winding bastard. But yes. And of all the people on all these shows, some of them have books in the Comex shop. So check out the Comex shop that is now@comex.net au and then just go to the menu where it says Shop. Yeah, I could advertise other things. Go for it.

Ed Kearsley (50:32):
That’s the link for the thing.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (50:33):
Oh, that’s the exact link. If you don’t want to just go to comex net au. And I just realised I brought up nobody’s Instagram before the show.

Ed Kearsley (50:51):
Nice.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (50:52):
I’m very prepared. I knew there was something beginning. Bloody hell. Instagram it.

Ed Kearsley (51:06):
Classic.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (51:08):
Classic six is, yeah, that’s what thing is. I don’t even know if I know everyone’s Instagram this time around.

Neale Blanden (51:13):
I’ve made a c Mine’s just Paul Cameron Art.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (51:19):
Okay. Yeah. Mine’s Chris Wood Inc. Thank you very much.

Neale Blanden (51:28):
Blanda Orama with an O.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (51:37):
That’s

Ed Kearsley (51:39):
O-B-L-A-N.

Neale Blanden (51:42):
Bland oa.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (51:45):
Yep. Found Joe.

Neale Blanden (51:48):
I hope so.

Ed Kearsley (51:51):
Have we got a classics from Nick? Me?

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (51:55):
Yes. Classics. It’s becoming quite the Ian for me not to know what I’m doing.

Ed Kearsley (52:00):
Nick may knows what’s up.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (52:05):
I Oh wow. Okay. Yep. I got it right.

Ed Kearsley (52:23):
Have you got all that stuff now?

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (52:26):
I do. I just need to take this over here so people can’t see it. Just turn mine. Are you sending yours again?

Ed Kearsley (52:37):
Yeah. Well we’re going to say it’s about that time for everyone to send in their,

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (52:44):
What they’ve done so far. Yes.

Ed Kearsley (52:45):
Yeah. Dr. Si. And while they’re doing

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (52:50):
That, and to me if that’s the easiest way to do it,

Ed Kearsley (52:53):
We can have a look at this. And this is the comics.net au store. And these are all the comic books. And you can get a hat.

Neale Blanden (53:11):
The hats are good. Very quality,

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (53:15):
Solid.

Ed Kearsley (53:19):
These are all the comic books by Australian people. There’s my skateboard. Oh, it’s doing the thing again.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (53:26):
Why is it on your machine? I don’t get it. I can’t replicate it. I’ve tried.

Ed Kearsley (53:30):
It’s only that one. The other ones are working good.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (53:37):
Oh, those are working properly.

Ed Kearsley (53:39):
And Terry’s Trek, they’re Nick Cleary who was on last episode. We got Stu Thornton’s new books, gods Among Men by the Mac Bros and Ben Sullivan. What else? Now that guy’s not moving, let’s look at this one.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (54:01):
Well look at it. Go.

Ed Kearsley (54:02):
Oh, there’s two. Oh,

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (54:05):
It’s all of ’em. I don’t know why it does that on your machine.

Ed Kearsley (54:11):
It’s gone. So yeah, there’s

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (54:12):
A1 11 titles in there at the moment. Wow. Wow. That’s amazing. So yeah, that’s what takes up all this room on this side of the room. I guess. A lot of rooms in one sentence.

Ed Kearsley (54:29):
Oh, that’s my book there. Seaman Angels from Earth.

Paul Cameron (54:36):
That’s a lot of good stuff there. It’s cool tail’s. Too stupid to tell.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (54:46):
Yeah, it’s a classic. It’s funny.

Ed Kearsley (54:50):
And Paul, do you want to send your picture in what you’ve done so far?

Paul Cameron (54:57):
Oh yeah.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (54:58):
Yeah. Just so we can do a bit of a mockup, that’s all. It’s not your finished piece of course.

Paul Cameron (55:02):
Okay. Yeah, yeah. You see a screenshot,

Neale Blanden (55:05):
Do a bit of a mockery.

Ed Kearsley (55:08):
That looks like a new blandon drawing there.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (55:12):
It’s

Neale Blanden (55:14):
Everything’s coming up Roses. That’s what he’s saying.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (55:20):
Yeah, I know. It’s still funny though.

Ed Kearsley (55:29):
That’s awesome. He’s got a bendle of crap.

Neale Blanden (55:38):
He’s going off to obscurity because we can’t see this.

Ed Kearsley (55:43):
It’s in throbbing colour.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (55:46):
It was.

Neale Blanden (55:50):
I’m actually hoping about doing the next Bland in colour.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (55:57):
Fancy.

Neale Blanden (55:58):
Yeah, I know. Well that will take a bit longer. Yes. I’m fancy like Iggy as I

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (56:09):
So this is my turn now. Yes. Okay, now I’ve got to find the screen. Not that one. Oh no, I don’t want a tab. I want the whole window. Thank you. I, let’s explore, this will be really embarrassing if I come across one. I’m not following, which I think I’m going to. This is

Chris Wood (56:34):
The test. Let’s see, I’ve been really bad. I haven’t uploaded this.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (56:40):
Yeah, I’m be of trouble. So Chris went first, so we’ll look at his.

Chris Wood (56:45):
Yeah, I haven’t uploaded for a long time, but I mean you can see that’s the cover for coffee table. Oh yeah. Better this one. A lot of cartoons I do during the week. Those are pretty easy to show. They’re

Paul Cameron (57:02):
Great put up. I love the lines, man. They’re really good.

Chris Wood (57:06):
Yeah, thanks. With the cartoons, I still dunno what I’m doing. I still,

Paul Cameron (57:11):
I like

Chris Wood (57:13):
24 turnaround. Just get it done. There’s actually, there’s a painting I did, I was a live painting. The black and white one I did for a friend who also makes comics. Nathan, he does a comic called Sky Machine, but he also has a jazz band. So they’re actually created along the same lines where the music is kind of like the soundtrack to the comic.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (57:41):
Oh cool. Oh that’s

Chris Wood (57:42):
Mad. So he’s done that. So that’s going to come out this year. And I think he’s looking for publishers, but that’s such a cool concept. And yeah, I did a painting. Stressful. Yeah, some cool stuff. But yeah, not a lot of comic stuff. I don’t know why I should put Once Dream More could

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (57:59):
Thrive,

Chris Wood (57:59):
Put a piece of comic stuff up and more coffee type stuff as well. Got plenty.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (58:06):
Some music.

Paul Cameron (58:13):
Yeah, it’s good stuff man.

Chris Wood (58:16):
Cheers is,

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (58:18):
Yeah, it’s awesome. Oh yes. I always remember that Ed works faster than I realise. So this is one I think I’m going to be embarrassed by. So we’ll go on camera Paul. Not Cameron, sorry.

Paul Cameron (58:32):
That’s fine. I’m

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (58:33):
Not following you. That’s so embarrassing. That’s fine. You suck. We’ll fix

Chris Wood (58:37):
That. That’s alright. We got a live follow get

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (58:41):
Off. Oh dear.

Paul Cameron (58:43):
So the turtle’s when I just finished. Oh that’s great. What was last night? Oh cool.

Chris Wood (58:49):
That hold one. Amazing

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (58:50):
Loading things. What’s it doing? There we go. Hang on. Is that the shirt you’re wearing?

Paul Cameron (58:59):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I got it like a red bubble shop, so.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (59:04):
Oh sweet.

Paul Cameron (59:06):
Yeah. And those phantom ones are the phantom covers? I did. They were pencil and ink. Yeah,

Chris Wood (59:14):
I like that.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (59:18):
Oh yeah, I saw that on my feed the other day. Yep.

Paul Cameron (59:20):
Yeah.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (59:24):
Oh yeah, there’s the shirt. Nice.

Paul Cameron (59:27):
I had to get it. I’m a bit, when went saw the movie, I had to have something. I wanted something custom, but I had my black and red Jordans on so it was good.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (59:37):
I so wicked. Dr. Doom. Yeah.

Paul Cameron (59:42):
Thank you. Yeah, that was a time lapse. So I did the whole thing as a time lapse of it as well. I did.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (59:48):
You’re great at running of Hands, man. That’s hard. Getting the hand in front, that’s a struggle. That’s good that you

Paul Cameron (59:56):
No, no it is. And that’s the thing, I’ve been really consistent the last couple of years. I picked up, I’ve learned a lot since Covid. But playing with learning a lot of perspective stuff, it makes a huge difference, man. Trying to convey distance and stuff like that. It’s a huge thing. Thank you for that. It’s been hard work. I’ve been doing it. Yeah. And let’s see, the Johnny Storm, that’s more of an anime thing. I’ve been trying to do an anime style, not so comic bookie. I don’t know. Let’s try different things.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (01:00:28):
Looks good.

Paul Cameron (01:00:30):
And that was Frog actually in pencil. I did for a guy. He brings Kermit puppet dress, a different characters. It’s a supernova. So he brought permit dressed as a ninja turtle.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (01:00:43):
That’s cool. It’s

Paul Cameron (01:00:43):
Funny. Yeah. And some guy actually in the uk, that Wolverine picture there, if you go up, that’s a Wolverine picture I did. He got a tattoo of it,

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (01:00:54):
Which Oh wow. Oh

Paul Cameron (01:00:55):
Wow. It’s kind of crazy. Yeah. Yeah.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (01:00:59):
That’s creepy. Yeah. Now the third person tonight was Neil Blender. It was stuff on here. Yeah. Only one third at a time.

Paul Cameron (01:01:19):
That old guy. The picture of that awkward old guy in the middle. It’s such a funny me. I dunno. It makes me laugh every time.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (01:01:26):
That’s funny. That’s funny.

Neale Blanden (01:01:30):
What do you mean? That old guy in the middle?

Paul Cameron (01:01:34):
No, not you

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (01:01:38):
Love

Neale Blanden (01:01:39):
Gone past the presents work there sis. Right, right. On your, I dunno it’s on your right or your left, but just the pages there. Just all sitting there with the big head.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (01:01:54):
This one? Yeah. Can you see my mouse? I dunno if you guys can, you can. That’s the

Neale Blanden (01:02:00):
One.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (01:02:01):
Oh, I thought they were books.

Neale Blanden (01:02:04):
No, that’s your work my friend.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (01:02:09):
That’s awesome.

Neale Blanden (01:02:10):
I’m just making the ad.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (01:02:13):
That’s awesome. Just stay here and just can you tell

Neale Blanden (01:02:19):
That I teach when I do stories? What’s it called again? Big Ugly Smelly Teen Head

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (01:02:24):
Smelly. Ugly Teen head.

Neale Blanden (01:02:26):
Do you think I

Paul Cameron (01:02:26):
Teach? It’s not a lie.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (01:02:31):
That’s gold. That’s better than the lock boot.

Neale Blanden (01:02:39):
Well, no, I couldn’t get the font. I was very disappointed because I’ve got an old cracked version of Photoshop. It didn’t have the proper font, which is a pretty stock standard font. I can’t remember what it’s called.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (01:02:54):
Bummer. Look at all these people with Bland. Oh,

Neale Blanden (01:02:59):
I know. These kids look, all the kids holding it, they all love it

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (01:03:06):
Out in the middle of the desert. I remember that story. This is great. My Business Goat. I like that.

Neale Blanden (01:03:30):
Well, well Business Goat is in the ad for, of course he is my commercial entity now because he’s kind of like a cross between business and Hello Kitty. Oh

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (01:03:43):
Okay.

Neale Blanden (01:03:44):
For some reason. But making that brochure there with a business scope brochure, it took a week, week of my life to make a brochure. Just getting font and making sure the fonts in the right position and writing up. It’s

Paul Cameron (01:04:01):
Horrible. It’s horrible working with fonts actually sometimes. Yeah,

Neale Blanden (01:04:06):
A week. A week.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (01:04:09):
And I say we’ll end it on the purple hair.

Neale Blanden (01:04:13):
Yeah, that’s fine. Well we’ve all got a princess, the

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (01:04:16):
Perfect pace to end this. So I think Ed’s ready, so I’m going to take my screen off the thing. No, that made it go up bigger. Pressing the wrong buttons here.

Ed Kearsley (01:04:28):
Mine up.

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (01:04:29):
Oh sorry.

Ed Kearsley (01:04:33):
So this is our page.

Chris Wood (01:04:35):
Hey sweet.

Ed Kearsley (01:04:38):
We’ve got got the punt. What’s the speech bubble going to say?

Chris Wood (01:04:46):
Oh, something like it was like a day night punt the moon and the sun. So it probably like I’m going to make you pay. Yeah. Day and night. The payment plan. Lot of words, guy. I picture, I’ll

Shane ‘Sizzle’ Syddall (01:05:02):
Figure it out

Ed Kearsley (01:05:03):
There. We got Paul’s Dix, you say, is that all you got? Great

Paul Cameron (01:05:09):
Attitude? Yeah, yeah, yeah. A hundred percent. That works. Yep.

Chris Wood (01:05:15):
That’s great. Again with the hand force.

Paul Cameron (01:05:17):
Awesome, thank you.

Ed Kearsley (01:05:20):
Then we’ve got Neil’s lucky. I really do have it. Shall I put on my crown of thos?

Paul Cameron (01:05:28):
That cat is amazing. That’s so good. Thank you.

Ed Kearsley (01:05:34):
That is our page for this week.

Paul Cameron (01:05:41):

Ed Kearsley (01:05:42):
